Go to Lavender Town and get your Pokegear upgraded, then go to the Snorlax and play with the radio until you get the Pokeflute channel.

The Pokeflute channel is not on the four presets- tune it manuallly to near the top middle of the screen until you hear it playing.

Yeap - once you get the upgrade in Lavender town, go up to Snorlax, then open your Pokegear, and go to the Radio section; then using your stylus, move the smaller cicle in the radio dial up to the middle; then take it all the way to the top & you'll get the pokeflute playing

You need the Viridian City Gym Badge to use Rock Climb Outside of battle.
Enter the Shattered Realm - At your own discretion.

yup; you get the Rock Climb HM after defeating Blue if I remember correctly.
I hate all these HMs - I have to reshuffle my team to accomodate HM knowing pokemon to be able to do anything -.-
