Triple Battles!

As ya'll know, Triple Battles is the new battle style for B&W. Do you like it? Better than Double Battles? I'm sure it's more challenging. Any particular aspects of this new battle system you wish to discuss? Here's the place to do it.

It's a let down, actually. Only one Pokemon battles with another at any given time... it might as well be a normal battle.

How frequently do you get to do triple battles?

It's a rarity, to say the least. I'm over halfway through the game and I've only had two. =/

Ahh. Is there anyway you can rebattle the trainer for triple battles? Is it one trainer that initiates triple battles compared to two for double battles?

No idea what the second question was, but you may be able to rebattle. Haven't cared enough to go back and talk to people I beat.

The second questions was meant like this:

You know in the previous games you always do double battle against 2 people, right? Do you battle against 3 people for triple battles or just one?

You battle against just one person, generally. You and your opponent throw out three Pokemon onto a turn table type battle field. Only one Pokemon is at the lead, meaning only two Pokemon battle at any given time. To turn your table and put another Pokemon at the front, it costs you a turn.... so it's basically the same as swapping out Pokemon, which made no sense to me at all.

Frankly, that sounds rather dull, and doesn't sound any different from single battles, except that you can only use three chosen Pokemon. >.>

Eh, only upside to it is that all of your Pokemon on the turn table gain EXP from the kill, not just the one doing the bashing.

It should be okay.I'll be dissapointed though if like Derek said there isnt a lot.Was kinda looking forward to having quite a few triple battles.

Sounds rubbish, from what you guys have said of it. It would have been better if it was simply three on three.

They sound like fun. I'm glad they aren't that common, I was afraid there would be one like every other battle.

Well Coach, they're probable more rare if not rarer than double battles, probably 1 in 20 battles?

Nothing will dethrone Double battles. NOTHING.

I kept thinking for the longest time triple battles would work in respect to double battles, but I guess not.

Yeah, Doubles are fun. Triples are kinda weird because of the whole rotation thing they've got going on. It'll take time to master it. At least it adds another level of complexity to the mix.

True. You can only use 3 Pokemon, right? Meaning if all 3 of yours die you lose?

I thought it meant put 3 pokemon in battle, but still have 3 others in your party? Like, you could switch out?
