I'm so tired. I haven't slept properly in 3 days. Anyone else have a sleeping problem? Any advice on how to fall asleep faster?

I can fall asleep quicker if I hear sounds like rain. Soothing sounds or whatnot can help you fall asleep. I don't really like taking sedatives.

I have had a terrible problem with falling asleep in the past, but it seems to have resolved itself. Probably because I am doing more during the day so I am actually tired at night, and I read before bed to tire out my eyes so I fall asleep more quickly. Other than that, I'm not sure. If you truly can't sleep, I recommend seeing a doctor.
Thanks Craizen

I sort of have a sleeping problem. It takes me a good half an hour or more to fall asleep, even then I'll wake up two or four times in the 8-10hours that I 'sleep' during. The sleep I get is essentially broken sleep, been that way for quite a few years now. I don't even feel that refreshed after what I would consider a decent bout of sleep. One thing does help though, and that's reading just before I go to bed. The odd 50-100 pages of a book usually does the trick, anything less and it takes longer to sleep.

Try cutting down on caffeinated drinks, sugary foods or things that may give you huge bursts of energy in the one go. Listening to soothing sounds or reading before bed may even help. If your problem persists, just as Yogi_Bear said, seeing a doctor may be the best bet.

Read a book or listen to some music. That always seems to help me when I can't get any sleep.

Read a book. I swear I think I've fallen asleep reading with the light on in my room for the last like 8 weeks. Works like a charm. I've never had a sleeping problem though so... I don't know man, try everything that's my advice.

I sleep fine, my problem though is getting enough sleep. Through the week I have to get up at 6:30 & it really puts a strain on me. I'm usually half dead by the time I get home. I guess I should start going to bed earlier.

It takes me at least an hour an a half (give or take a few minutes) to fall asleep.

Once I'm sleep, I sleep for either for up to 4 hours & get up & I'm perfectly fine, or for at least 8. But even then, after 8 hours sleep I'm still tired as hell when I wake up though.

I just listen to music & I don't try force myself asleep. That never works.

Take some Honey before you sleep, a couple teaspoons should do. you can mix this with hot water to create a tea, and add more flavors if you wish, continue this on for a while, another trick is do more things during the day to tire your self out. Plus cereals have a vitamin that can help sleep. Yawn while your trying to sleep, and pretend that you just hit the snooze or that you have to get up soon. But the honey works well enough.

I've had this problem and the honey dose help.

I don't have a problem falling asleep per se, but narcolepsy can be a bit of a pain. I just have a problem falling asleep at the right time.
By reading this, you lost the game. Oh, and want to pet my puppy? It doesn't bite.
