Well here is my latest fail sig, it seems that I can't make any decent signatures and it's annoying really.

Basic yeah. Fail - personally, the line between failure & success stems from what you wanted to acheive in the first place.
If you wanted a simplistic peice that was straight to the point, you've done well. Although, the one issue I have is the balance between the bursty thing (I have no idea what the correct terms are xD lol) on the top half of the image, and the lack there-of on the bottom half. Add that together with the mirrored Cyndevia down the bottom, the look & placement of the main Cyndevia looks off-center & that does (for me at least) make me feel it truly is off balance.
But hey, what do I know, I can't make heads or tails of GIMP or PS lol

Hmm, I'm probably going to get slammed by the G&A veterans when they come along for my inputs xD
Um, V2 - the new, lighter layer you have put across the main Cyndevia is fairly noticeable. I can actually see the bevelling of it quite clearly.

It's simple but that's not necessarily a bad thing. I think that if the bottom half had anything else that it would take away from the reflection. I'm not a fan of the lighting in V2 either, the change between bright and dark is too abrupt and it looks like only the letters are bright and makes the black outline of the letters look bad. But just experiment with different things and if you find that you can't make anything that you like, then try something different like vectors or pen-tooling or something.

Yeah I am starting to drift towards from abstract banners to vector/simple signatures now for some reason, it's just something different I suppose.

I like, but to me it lacks as a text piece because of so much empty space. Though it makes you focus on the text, but that's becauase it's the only thing really there. Try some vector brushes and increase the text size

Oh, one thing I noticed that I really like is that the bursts or whatever they are are coming from the dot on the 'i' that just struck me as a cool sort of effect.

Cyndevia I really liked your toon link signature better then your other ones. That's what i think but it's up to you on what your are wanting to choose.

even before i noticed the i and the burst I thought the burst looks kewl.
Like the text is coming from somewhere. As if it traveled from the side and made its way to he middle of the sig.
The stroke on the text could of been abit smaller, or it might look better how you got it now.
only thing that caught my eye is to the left of the C theres a light blue line, the same colour of the glow on the text.

I've changed the stroke around the text by 1 pixel and it looked horrible, but it was a nice suggestion though. Yeah that little you see there was meant to be the edge of the wall or something, so you can see the reflection and helps with the gradient in the background.
It's good that everyone finally likes a signature tag of mine With all my previous ones, there was something minor that everyone just didn't like.
