...does anyone play them? What instrument do you play and what is your skill level?
I personally don't have the patience. A few years ago I started playing Bass Guitar. Quit after a few months. I can't remember anything about playing Bass anymore XD. I am currently busy learning to play guitar but now I realize that I should've continued with bass, it's something I regret.
Apparently I'm a handy man when it comes to playing the drums, well my mum thought so anyway, as I'm good when it comes to things like that. I have always been good at using my hands, though, & I enjoy it
That last post was so immensely unfunny and useless I'm not going to make anyone else read it, CRAZY CHEATS. Please try to actually contribute in some way. If not seriously, then at least make it of good taste.
I play keyboard/classic piano, as well as a bit of mandolin and ukulele. I can keep a beat on the drums...and I can beatbox. That counts as an instrument, right?
Electric Guitar, and Bass Guitar, primarily. I play a little drums, usually only when there's an open kit and no one around, eheheh. I enjoy playing with keyboards/synths, too.

I play guitar, bass, and piano. I have my Fender starcaster that I started off with, a new PRS guitar that I got for my birthday the other week, my ~*AMAZING*~ Takamine acoustic, a keyboard, and an Ibanez bass given to me as a gift from the ex-wife of the Salt Life founder.
