Unova Pokes are easy...

Anyway, does anybody else think that the Pokemon this Gen are unusually easy to catch? Nine times out of ten I caught the Pokemon with one ball, and I'm still using Great Balls with good success even after beating the game. But what really got me was the fact that I caught Zekrom with 1 Heal Ball. Yeah, 1 Heal Ball. That's like catching it with a regular Poke Ball! The only reason I even used a Heal Ball was because I wanted it on my team to battle N & Ghetsis. Easiest. Legendary catch. Ever.

Protip; you are MEANT to catch the legenday before N...

Other than that, it's pretty much the same.

Yeah, but he can still break out of Balls, can't he? And btw, I left an empty space in my party for Zekrom, that's why I used a Heal Ball.

Btw Zekrom is healed nonetheless when you catch him.

But idk i couldnt really tell.I only caught around 5 pokemon the whole game.

In some ways, yes they are easy. I caught Volcarona with one Quick Ball on the first turn of the battle. Although, I had some serious trouble catching a wild Metang once, which wasted half of all my Pokeballs.

Zekrom and others before him were easy to catch. Once you get to the other legendaries, that's when it gets hard.

Zekrom in a Premiere Ball...now that you bring this up, perhaps this isn't as impressive for 2nd best catch of all time.

First best was catching a level 70 Kyogre in a Premiere Ball. (at the time, I thought the Premiere Ball made the Pokemon inside shiny, so I spent half the day trying to catch him in it, lol)

I caught my Zekrom with the second Pokeball I used. Can't remember what kind it was I'll have to check. It really caught me off guard since earlier I had to use at least five Pokeballs on a non legendary Pokemon.

I was surprise just to catch a level 45 pokemon with a poke ball a few times,

I beat Zekrom down to the red and caught him with a Dusk Ball in one go. -_- Whereas a wild Metagross proceeded, not long ago, to beat the poop out of my team and take close to an hour to catch (I was busy with other things but still...)

You know critical captures? I had one fail on me. I tried to catch an Absol in the red, chucked a Timer Ball at it, it did the critical capture noise and shake before dropping to the ground and it popped open after one shake. So for me, captures are either easy as pie or a right pain in the butt.

Layne pointed this out to me a while ago:

The usual catch rate for legendaries is 3. Zekrom's and Reshiram's (in White and Black, respectively) catch rate was raised up to 45, way above the usual catch rate and just about as easy to catch as any other regular pokemon. Apparently, they're pretty integral to the storyline, so you have to catch it, as Taron said. So catching it one poke ball really isn't much of an achievement, sorry to say. ;(

I haven't really done much for catching any significant pokemon except for Cobalion and Virizion, the latter of which I found to be a huge pain to capture. So I just think it's all very random; you're either lucky or you're not, for the most part, as was always the case.

Yeah, they weren't meant to be agonizingly hard unless you made it to be so. x)

I found the Musketeer trio easy to catch (with the exception of resetting for a decently natured Terrakion).

Though it's kinda sad that a Pokemon like Metagross has a lower catch rate than a legendary (disregarding its rarity).

It seemed to be just as difficult with a Beldum in Platinum I'd say. To me, it seemed to be one of the hardest non legendary pokemon to catch. Though it was an unsatisfying amount of effort needed to capture a pokemon, I would have prefered to have spent that time trying to catch a legendary pokemon so at the least of it all, I could listen to the catchy legendary music a little bit longer.

Basically, it would be a waste to use the MasterBall on him. It would be better to wait until you found the legendary that moves to different places. I believe his name is Thunderus?

I've noticed this to, it took me three ultra balls to catch Zekrom. Also, I only used pokeballs the whole game, the only time I used ultra balls was to catch legends.

Just to point out a little bit, I found Kyurem out of all legends to be a huge issue to catch. That was the only one that was a problem (which means I agree to his statement.)

I caught Kyurem with a normal Pokeball. It killed most of my team until my Typlosion( Pepper ) came out. This is how the battle went:

A wild Kyurem appeared!
Pepper used Swift!
Kyurem used Glaciate!
Eevee(my name in the game) used a Pokeball!
Kyurem was caught!
