I feel like I witnessed so much history of this forum. The rise and fall of ilovemissyelliot, the many "your mamma" accounts, roadkillers, pikachu101 and his attempts to get back on the site, the reign of Dave, the old forum layout, two of who I believe were some of the best mods on the site in the past (Rooku and Sheiny), and more. Wow I need a life.
I'm also torn between Red and Green from Super Effective. People kept asking me for minecraft skins. I now tell them to go to my website to request them.
@Volke, i mean you were only one of the few members here in 04. It really got kickstarted in 05,06 and 07.
You'd say so? I wouldn't know how you'd know, since you clearly weren't there at the time (2004) (unless you had an old account or something...wouldn't know because I don't really remember you). Considering the fact that towards the end of 2004, a closed topic in General Chat could disappear to the 5th Page within two days (something that takes about two months these days), I'd say things had pretty much already kickstarted.
So what do you want a reward for being a member in 04 or something>?
Nope. I was just correcting you.
Representing the 2004 crowd.
Ah, 2004 was fun. The forum was finding its footing, we were getting knocked by every other community in the Video Gamer Network circuit, and Spam Fest was all the rage ? so much that when it finally closed people were extremely upset about it ? so much that the spammer Your Momma is said to have been born from the backlash.
I'm probably one of the few people left who was on SuperCheats prior to the forums actually existing, and I remember Rich adding a note to a question about a message board being started and adding that it would be better than everyone having to wait the night for a submission to be processed. Those were the days....
Ah, the Gaming Update vs SuperCheats saga. I'd forgotten about it. That was good fun. No chance of that happening again, though, since all of the moaners from Gaming Update past have all disappeared. Heh, I remember the XVGN and PSXGamer forums, too. The former were supposed to be restored, but never were. Such a pity, as it was a nice little hangout.
In terms of who was here before these forums, I think it's just us two + Rich and Dennis left. I had accounts dating back to early 2003, and joined with the nintendo_dude one in February 2004. Missed the forums opening though, as I was on holiday for almost three weeks (five extra days out due to a hurricane).
^Llama was also around prior to the forums - or so he says. Don't know his other account though.
He left after the original forums closed (which were around from something like 2000-2002) and returned last year, so I'm not sure where to classify him as he was absent for several years.

Gaming Update's forums were actually closed recently due to lack of activity. I was there myself for a while, and the best thing I ever did there was win a poetry contest.
Now that you mention it, though, I wonder how Sora from XVGN is doing....
I visited this site before the forums were up. It has super in the name, which seemed much more attractive to me compared other cheat sites that didn't have anything to do with super heroes back then.
Still, I only joined in 2006. I think the fact that this site has super in the name has kept me around though.
