Let's see...most ice cream flavors that I like are the specialty flavors made by Ben & Jerry's, but on the other hand, sometimes all I want is some good old-fashioned strawberry ice cream.

Trying to do fancy stuff isn't my thing, but I've fallen in love with Breyer's new vanilla with cinnamon swirl in it. Otherwise, I go vanilla with butterscotch topping. NOT caramel. I am simple, but also am naturally limited by my egg allergy.

Bad thing to have, a food allergy. I don't have one myself, but a cousin of mine has a severe dairy allergy. She gets violently sick with even a minuscule amount..

I am grateful that mine only results in a rash. Haven't had eggs for ages, so in all likelihood I may not be allergic more, but I'm pitifully scared to try haha.

Really don't know if food allergies go away, but I suppose it's possible.

My point exactly. So, I'm curious - do you like books? Or do you prefer TV? A little of both?

Personally I like some books and I like some TV. But the types of books and TV I like seems to shrink with age. (insert 'thats not the only thing...' joke here). Video games still rock though.

Finding time for them all though is difficult. Anywho sorry to jump in..

Like seeing another person posting here, so no problem. In answer to FreezShock's question, I'd have to say I prefer books over TV. I do watch some TV, but when reading, my imagination comes up with better stuff than any YV show could do.

Truly proud of you, as I rarely watch TV. I do like movies sometimes, but otherwise it's got to be books. I go for Sci-Fi and Mystery usually, you guys?

Got to say sci-fi is my favorite but I like a whole range of things. Right now I am working my way through "Nightmares and Dreamscapes" by Stephen King. I also read D&D based fantasy, mostly Dragonlance, though I have read a few of the Ravenloft books and several of the Forgotten Realms books.

Perchance have you heard of Robot Wars? It's written by Sigmund Brouwer about a teen boy in 2040 who was born on Mars and has an implant in his spine that allows him to control a robot. It's Sci-Fi but as he's a kid, he relies on his wits and ability to be halfway across the world to outwit the enemy. It's my favorite series.

I think I have heard of it, but once I finish the book I'm on, I'm moving on to the Discworld series by Terry Pratchett. If you're a fan of the works of Douglas Adams, you'd probably like this series.

Oh, should I be embarrassed to say that I don't know who that is? Would you mind giving me a rundown on that particular series you're on? I'm in need of a new book series.

Mostly about wizards and magic but with a humorous take the whole thing. You'd really have to read it to understand. It's British humor, if that helps.

Man, I'm sold. British humor does it, there's another book I read about animals intervening in history which has a British mouse that just cracks me up.

Looks like I'm the confused one now, because I don't know the book you're referring to, but it sounds like something I would like.

The book I was referring to is a series called 'Epic Order of the Seven', although the first two books are 'The Amazing Adventures of Max and Liz'. They're about animals granted eternal life that go around influencing history and watching it unfold. Max, a Scottish terrier, has quite the brogue, while Liz, a French kitty, still uses many of her favorite French phrases. Nigel, a British mouse, is a scholarly little fellow who loves to say, "That takes the biscuit!" and other British phrases. Sorry if I was a little unclear in the previous post, hopefully this gives you enough of a background!

I'd be delighted if I helped you find a fun pastime for a while, the latest book of that series was a solid 550+ pages. Not amazing, but kinda average-ish I guess XD

You know, I've read many Stephen King books which usually tend to be on the longish side (It, for example, was over 1,000 pages), so a long book is hardly daunting.
