The SAT is a very important test that high school students here in the US take, usually multiple times, in their junior and senior years. They are scored out of a total of 2400 points, 1600 dedicated to alternating Math and Reading Comprehension sections, and 800 dedicated to a writing section. Most big colleges use the scores to narrow down candidates for admission before looking fully at the applications.
Taking them in March or May I think. I took the PSATs last year, and then again this year in October. Got a 1700 something last year on the PSAT, not sure about this year yet. I'm also taking the ACT this year, and I hope to get higher than a 34, since that's what my brother got.
He got accepted into Rider and got a full ride at York, I think, but chose TCNJ. He got put on the waiting list for University of Penn, but didn't get in there.
I visited Penn two years ago when we were looking at schools for him, and it is a beautiful campus. If you have no problem with being right in the middle of Philly, it's great. You don't even notice you're in the city until you have to cross the street to get to a different part of the campus, lol. It's easily a top 5 school in the country.
Yeah I'm going to start visiting places shortly. I really don't want to go much more than 2 hours away from my home, so my options are fairly limited. Still some good schools around me though: Rutgers/Rider/Stockton/Rowan/Princeton/TCNJ
