Slime sig

This cute little thing is one of my fav monsters from Dragon Quest. I just wanna know if I blended it well and if I should get rid of the snow in the cloudy area. Or if its just fine as is.

Right now all I would say is move your focal...left some. Then do some contrast adjustments to make a better difference between your dark and light areas. I can do it now to show you what I mean if u want

Using GIMP: I did a Layer>New From Visible. Then Colors>Brightness and Contrast. I upped conrast to about 20-25


step two: Make a large, Fuzzeh brush((Soft.In the brushes palaette)) Then click your dodge/brun tool. On burn, click around the dark areas. The night sky, dark shading on the focal. One click at a time works best. Then on Dodge, hit the light areas. The bright shading on the focal, bright starry spots



Add the default Deep Sea Gradient in GIMP. Default settings on a transparent new layer. Set it to Overlay 50 percent.

Takes away the fog like affect around it though.

If you want fog, You'll have to make it...more defined where you are actually making the effect.

Try Two is good. I mean...like you can have subtle fog effect, but it needs to look like fog, not to more experienced artist an error in contrast.

Those areas that look like clouds? I figured that would be your fog.

Thats fog/cloud at the bottom thats thicker. Top part was suppose to be more cloud. In the middle it was meant to have a light fog. Which I still have not but just not as much.

Have you tried

Filters>Render>Noise>Clouds?

Might help some

I haven't messed with that in forever.

I dunno. I still get a fog feel from it so I think your fine Z.

Alright. I didn't overdo it with the dodge on it did I?

Maybe on the face yeah. I was on my wii and sometimes that changes little details like that.

Oh and the Goomba(s) are started

Is that any better? Thought changing the shade of pink might make a difference. And nice.



Darked the face a little on this one while keeping the new shade of pink.



And theres the first shade of pink darkened in the middle.

I would say so. I need to get started on my tuts ;_;

I hardly ever look at tuts. Not unless I need to learn how to do something for a sig that seems off. Alright anything else I should change or does it look good enough now?

As long your happy with it. I would have changed the whole tag by now, but that's just because I know a lot more stuff about GIMP

This was try two no way I'm going to mess with all that again. As long as everything looks good together I'm happy with it. Need an avy to go with it. Ideas?
