Bum, da bum

The first one is cool, it has nice effects, although the vector style with that render isn't really doing it for me. Other than that though I really like it, maybe if you vectored the render, but that would've been a pain. Actually, now that I look at it again, it's not really that vector, I guess I didn't really notice how much texture it had on my first glance. But it's nice, good job.

The second one, I don't like symmetry at all, in anything. However, with that being said, the effects are really cool. The purple at the top might be a little out of place, though I can see it staying if there were more at one side, if it weren't symmetrical.

Nice effects, although I don't really like the stuff going on over the render, it's distracting. The render itself looks very choppy, especially up around the hair. The flow doesn't lie very well with the render either. I think the main problem with this one is the render, but it's not bad, the left side is nice.
