Humans have came a long way technology wise. Phone calls made at the flick of a wrist, using a holographic phone that carried real sound. Cars that drove on auto pilot, resulting in accident rates going down to one percent, and almost zero in less populated areas. Families had private elevators. War had become less bloody, and more of a technological process than before. Less people died from violence. Sure, we had to go through the destruction of two countries, the evaporation of the our ozone and clean air, which was only to be rebuilt when we were desperate to see the sun again and all, but in the better times, gaming had also grown, and Virtual Inclusion Games were all the rage. One in particular, Reality-The World, stole the show.
Reality, even though it was digital and fake, had the best "immersion system" of all the games. The worlds most brilliant minds had worked on it, creating coding systems unlike many of their time. The A.I itself was a decade ahead, the first type of learning systems to say the least. You felt like you belonged, like it was actually the real world. Of course, safety precautions and safeguards had been put into place to keep people from dying from playing the game, or from being trapped in a game where when you ate food, it felt real, your taste buds tantalized. But the game's premise is what had kept people going back, though the food was a plus for most. You see, Three War Lords had been created as the final bosses, for a completion to a game that never really ended in a way. The Rogue and Sixx, the Dragon and Bat were one. Desani Highclock, "The Red" the second, and one simply known as the "Myth Ragnarok", the most elusive and powerful of the three. It frustrated a good number of players, not ever seeing these War Lords. Trust me, there were plenty of high level bosses to keep you guessing, or keep you entertained. However, two particular players, a special "live in" player whose screen name was "Garm", who had died while logged in and became a "coded consciousness", and a father, Garm's best friend, screen name "Ziedi", had sought out these War Lords for pressing reasons. They found one, the first one made, Rogue and Sixx. The two pairs clashed, with Ziedi and Garm coming out on top. But instead of resetting, the Rogue and Sixx disappeared, a puzzling result to the duo, Garm especially. It was forgotten eventually, but the issue came back to bite them when rumors of so called "bugs" started and players began to disappear or go into comatose states, which were somehow linked to Rogue and Sixx. Or so they thought.
The occurrences did not just catch the eye of the Admins of the game, no things like this never do. Ever since the original attack of Rogue and Sixx, what came to be known as the Coma Virus, the waking death, and many other names. Anti-Immersion groups rose to a prominence with these, and rallyed support for closure of full immersion games. The war op, Magnus, the life Sim Second Mind, the Fantasy of Reality, and any other that brought the user in. Of course the owners, of Mind Drive INC. fought back, and won, but Reality in itself was walking on thin ice. Oliver Stark, governor of the great cities, was wonderful politician. But it was known he had a vendetta against immersion tech, he had lost his own daughter. So a second fight was being waged, but this one between Warlords and Men.

Explanation of Format: Grande attacks, as this is taking place in a video game, are finishing moves that become available when your character hits the correct level, maxing out at the final level, level ten.((Current level cap.)) Think about these carefully, as these will also tie into your Main Weapon, which stays with you the whole game, leveling up as you gain better control. Secondary is changeable throughout, though try to limit it. You can have little special items, such as Ziedi having a Cinnaflame Toothpick, which can shoot fire if he feels like it. Everyone starts at level one, and we will get you up to level four or five in the beginning before proceeding with the main plot.
Leveling:
It is slightly convoluted, but we will be keeping track of this, and so should you. You will level up every five boss fights, which will be provided to you along the way, along with enemy types. I'll make sure to keep track of your level, as you will unlock more of your powers as you go along.
Level One - You're a newb, and may hit yourself figuring out your weapon. Please have a solid idea of what your weapon will do when you use it. I.E.-
"Ziedi attacks with his double headed chain blade, but ties himself up instead."
Try to keep your weaponry varied, don't just copy others. If its something generic, like a dagger, add some special characteristic to it, like a serrated edge or have something like a small smoke bomb concealed in the hilt. Thing that can tie into an ability, make things more interesting. If it's something like a bow, for example, it might go something like this-
"Player 1 successfully fired an arrow at the monster, but the bowstring slapping against his wrist threw his aim off a little and it missed a vital spot."
Since bows can't tie you up.
Level two - Less of a newb. You sorta know what your weapon does, but still may hit yourself. You start to gain experience with, say, how your mana type powers affect your weapon and you. I.E.-
"Ziedi feels the urging of his elemental powers of light, fire and earth."((Btw, only three elements, or "mana type powers" are allowed, but there is room for five if you are a FULL mage class))
Level three - You know what your weapon does, and won't hit yourself anymore. The weapon starts to evolve and you gain your first full elemental power to tie in with your weapon. I.E. FULL mage types get a another mana type power.
"Ziedi realizes his chain blade's chain can extend, and that he can send fire down it for additional damage."
Level Four - Full control over an element, your power gets a significant increase, and you have good control over your weapon. Mages would gain another element here.
"Ziedi lengths his chain, ties up the walking tree, and burns it to the ground with ease and grace."
Level Five - Second element appears. Great control of your weapon. In general, you're just becoming stronger and better, and also a bit more agile. Mages gain fourth mana power.
"Ziedi fights of the high level boss by himself, using his weapon skills and elements. Normally, this boss takes two people or even three people at lower levels in order to win."
Level Six - First Grande power appears. Great control over weapons, last element for all, even mages.
"Ziedi learns of his first Grande Attack, Chains of Hell."
Level Seven - Perfect weapon control, can successfully pull of first Grande Attack with little difficulty. You are now a "pro player". Main Weapon evolves here.
"Ziedi's weapon, after destroying the boss with Chains of Hell, evolves into a chain scythe."
Level Eight- More power, second Grande attack appears. Character goes through physical change((if wanted)) to represent new power.
"Ziedi learns of second Grande attack, Chains of Heaven. His clothing also changes to a cross between a Ninja and a Samurai."
Level Nine - Control over all atacks. You're practically golden.
Level Ten -Congrats, it's time to kill newbs with a snap of your finger for the fun of it! Try to show some mercy.
Classes:
Mage: Mana type attacks mostly, Healing Powers if desired. Can be a very destructive and quick caster of Magic. Defense levels up with you rather than Physical Attack. Secondary weapon may be physcial or magical.
Weapon types: Staffs, Floating Spell Books, Gauntlets (like metal gloves, the larger ones being the hand parts of a suit of armor), Daggers, Orbs, some Summoned Creatures. Good Speed and Agility.
Ranger: Sort of like a light knight and mage combined. Second Fastest class. Has good armor usually, can cast 2 mana type attacks, meaning a sort of spell, and has range attack capabilities.
Weapons allowed: One Handed Swords, Staffs, Daggers, Bows, Small Shields and Specialty Weapons, like Chain Blades.
Tank: Heavy Class, Highest Defense, Lowest Speed. High Power. No spell casting at all.
Weapon Types: Two handed swords, dual wielding, heavy shields, Maces, Heavy War Hammers, large clubs, Javelins, Spears. Not much range attack possibility, javelins and spears the limit. They aren't too hard to dodge most of the time. Specialized Weapons allowed.
Knight: Medium class, Good all around except in movement speed, second slowest. Weapon Types: One Handed swords. Weeaponized Shields((such as one with a razor edge or a saw edge)), lances, spears, light war hammers, Light Maces, shields, and specialized weapons.
Rogues: Kind rare. Thief class. Can't pick pockets of low level characters, can pick locks whenever though. Fastest Speed, lowest defense. Good power. Capable of dual wielding. Weapons: Daggers, Light swords, arrows, trained woodland creatures (Bears and other large woodland animals require approval and special restrictions when in city zones), Specialized weapons.
((You can cross any two classes together, except for Tank, which only crosses with Knight. Only FULL Mages can have five mana type powers.))

((I really don't get this, kinda confused but I will give it a shot.))

Secondary: Katana
Mana Type Attacks: Dark Pulse - Compacts mana into small ball and shoots it towards enemies, on contact it expands and entraps them before exploding, Does light damage.
Spingere Indietro - Creates a massive shockwave from palm of hand pushing back anything away from him. Does little to no dmamage.
Grande Attack One: Black Hand - Darkness covers his hand, upon impact to any surface it sends huge amounts of power into it. EX: Hand to ground creates ruptures all around him or earthquake. Hand at human sized an makes them explode.
Grande Attack Two: Inhumane Consumption - All mana is consumed by one hand and then shot out in form of a beast from his other.
Weapon Evoltuon: Sycthe into Death Sycthe. Steals either mana or health upon direct contact with enemy, doesn't do physical damage to enemies. Meaing it pretty much goes through the oppenent instead of making contact with them, and giving them a cut. The more of you it passes through the more it steals. So a graze compared to cutting one in half would steal far less.
Description: Golden blonde hair, handsome, fire red eyes. Well built and wears darker clothing
Personality: Doesn't trust people much, will betray anyone if he feels like it, manipulative and charming. But also loyal to those who do manage to gain his trust.
Bio: just a new player to the game looking for some fun

Bio: Average kid lives life as anyone else. Lives by himself, his parents are always travelling for work. Has lived by himself for past 7 years. Pretty cold and unfriendly at first but warms up, spends most of free time on video games. Got reality once he made enough money.

(To be a bit more clear, by "immersion system" we mean a virtual reality, like you see, hear, taste, touch, and feel everything in the game as though it were real. So its more like being "immersed" in an alternate version of reality. Hence, the name being Reality-The World. The RPers will be "new players" the only exceptions being Garm and Ziedi.)

(Well, let's just start and see if anyone else joins us, shall we?)
The first area of the game 'Reality-The World', the most popular full-immersion MMORPG of the decade...no, the century: The Labyrinth. The area for beginners, the first area, one which can only be left after a player has leveled up to level three. An area where, at this moment, a large number of new players are joining Reality through the new servers and making their way into The Labyrinth in order to find as many of the numerous bosses of the dungeon as possible. Some aimed for the rumored treasure at the end of the dungeon, a location few have seen, and few believe exists. The Labyrinth tends to lead players around in circles and loop them back to the starting point, the only safe place in the entire area and the location of the level restricted Warp Gate to the game's most popular city: Aquae.
For a new player of Realtiy, it all begins in a large circular room with an ornate set of double doors in the middle of the room. The Warp Gate. The room is made of onyx with blue glowing mineral veins on the floor, ceiling and walls. Small shops and cafes are set up here and there by NPCs. While some players gather at these shops and cafes to stock up on supplies and to try and find others who may wish to work together to take on the tower bosses in the dungeon. At the moment, there is a lull in the game traffic as most players have already either managed to move on out of the Labyrinth and into the game at large, or have stopped playing for the moment in order to reacquaint themselves with their true selves and the actual reality they are a part of. However, there are still new players joining the game. Amidst them, a golden orb can be seen following behind a red-haired new Rogue. The character's pale skin and blue eyes contrast the red clothes and hair it has, and the many knives possessed by him as he entered The Labyrinth, alone, with the golden orb following him, made it look like he was well prepared for something big. This is where the players who would change everything first began to gather together...this is the story of Reality.

An area where, at this moment, a large number of new players are joining Reality through the new servers and making their way into The Labyrinth in order to find as many of the numerous bosses of the dungeon as possible. Some aimed for the rumored treasure at the end of the dungeon, a location few have seen, and few believe exists. The Labyrinth tends to lead players around in circles and loop them back to the starting point, the only safe place in the entire area and the location of the level restricted Warp Gate to the game's most popular city: Aquae.
For a new player of Realtiy, it all begins in a large circular room with an ornate set of double doors in the middle of the room. The Warp Gate. The room is made of onyx with blue glowing mineral veins on the floor, ceiling and walls. Small shops and cafes are set up here and there by NPCs. While some players gather at these shops and cafes to stock up on supplies and to try and find others who may wish to work together to take on the tower bosses in the dungeon. At the moment, there is a lull in the game traffic as most players have already either managed to move on out of the Labyrinth and into the game at large, or have stopped playing for the moment in order to reacquaint themselves with their true selves and the actual reality they are a part of. However, there are still new players joining the game. Amidst them, a golden orb can be seen following behind a red-haired new Rogue. The character's pale skin and blue eyes contrast the red clothes and hair it has, and the many knives possessed by him as he entered The Labyrinth, alone, with the golden orb following him, made it look like he was well prepared for something big. This is where the players who would change everything first began to gather together...this is the story of Reality.

He looked around at all the players around him in the onyx room, many were new like him. He just got the game and already was amazed by it, the new place wasn't like anything he had seen or experience before. He begins to walk around, exploring the area and all there was. He entered shops and learned about the game just by looking. He stopped and talked to a few players, asking questions. Some had no answers as they were wondering the same while others did. The ones that did, he slowly began to notice, seemed to be different, their compostures or attitudes put them aside from the new players. By asking them he qucikly learned about the area he was in and many asked if he wanted to join them. Making groups to take the challenges on, he turned them all down. Mosts personalities he didn't like, they way they acted he just didn't wanna hang out with them and many were obviously gonna just use him. Then again he too had that exact line of thought but he doubted he could do that being so new it would likely just backfire on him. He went off into the Labyrinth on his own, reckless but he had to do it. Get an experience for himself. He came back ten minutes later, having become utterly lost within the labyrinth. He sat down and spotted a red haired person with a glowing orb trailing after him, he watched with interest while somewhat lost in thoughts.
Massive and nothing like I usually play. Guess I will have to get a partner until I get the hang of the game atleast. Know all the basics then get to leveling up to leave this place. Should find someone good...

The group's conversation didn't go unnoticed nor did the Evanescent's argue with another player. The player gets up and walks over, curious and careful. Knowing that two players instead of one would be harder to trick. Espescially if they are good friends, nevertheless he went up to them.

Aron looked at his character on his screen, the immersion tech still not fully hooked up, dropping him to the world. He waited, then heard his grandparents say Goodbye.
"Bye!" He called back. He heard the door click and plugged himself him. He had tested the tech out yesterday, but still closed his eyes, only opening them to see things through a light golden haze. "I still don't know if this is a glitch or just something to deal with my power selection." He inadvertently said this out loud, and glanced around to maker sure nobody really heard. He gaped at the onyx room, and a few of the characters walking around. Mostly newbs like himself, a few other high level clans looking for fresh meat. Not liking the openness of the room, he ducked in the shadow of a fountain, listening to the flow of the water and enjoying the coolness it provided. Just like yesterday, he took out a small knife, a basic thing all characters were gifted or sold for some quick cash, and lightly nicked himself. He felt it, but nothing like the pain really would be. Nonetheless, he checked his hand in the real world.
"Still perfectly fine," he breathed quietly. He noticed the two new players conversing not far from him, but stayed in his shady spot. It may be a game, but he was still quiet.

Ziedi perched on a high glowing ore, on the east wall. He reclined lazily, even if a fall meant complications. He looked around the mass of newbs and higher level players, liking the increase. He was also picking out new ones for the cause, that needed to be done. But that was trifle at the moment, he had to train people first. "Why oh why? Games have gotten so much smarter." He checked a small pocket-watch, and opening his vid screen, messaged all the higher level players to leave, clearing out the room for the newbs.
"I do say, it's about time to start. Wouldn't you say Garm?" Not even sure if he was in the room.

Ero looked around, curious as to why all the clans were leaving. "Something must be up, I wonder what."

Ziedi leaped down and landed on top of the fountain Ero was leaning on.
"Welcome new Players, to the best game out there, Reality! Please gather round for your first quest; and of course to set up your squads."

For some reason Evanescent smiled just before the higher leveled players began to leave. He shook Morte's hand and turned towards Ziedi.
"Call me Evanescent. The fairy is Neophyte, though you already know that. Come on, I've been waiting all day for this."
"Wait up! Ev!"
Evanescent and Neophyte rush over to where the crowd of new players is gathering around Ziedi, some wondering why this guy was acting with such authority, others, who had overheard Ziedi mention Garm, look nervously around the room, as if expecting a high level boss monster to just pop up out of no where. Which, Garm being Garm, could very well still occur.
A holographic image of a hooded game character appears. Nothing can be deciphered about the character's appearance due to the cloak and hood hiding everything about it. Only Ziedi and the NPCs can hear him when he speaks. Neophyte, of course, knows who this is. The so-called 'NPC King' Garm Plasmal, Chief Admin.
"Yes, I do believe you are correct old friend."

Morte's eyes narrow, he knew something was going on. He followed after Evanescent and watched Ziedi and the hooded man with interest. All the while within his head he was scheming dark traitor thoughts about how to use his newest friend. With half of his focus on his thoughts and the other half on what was happening he turned to Evanescent.
"You knew this was gonna happen? Some kinda event... looks like this will be fun."

"No no, this isn't an event. This is a sort of forced leveling for the new players that are in the area who haven't reached level three yet. You see, to leave this area, first you have to reach level three. To prevent too many players getting stuck here because they can't manage to level up, they do this once a month."
Evanescent is rather knowledgeable about this occurrence, and he seems eager to answer his new 'friend's' questions.

Ziedi spoke up again. "I see some of you look confused. Allow me to introduce myself, I am Ziedi, a reaper of sorts." He allowed that to hang, especially since his long black chain scythe hanged visibly on his back. Noting a hint of fear in a few eyes, he continued.
"Don't worry, most of you won't have to worry about me, I mainly deal with bugs and players who choose to cheat. So please, try not to be on my bad side." This was a bluff in a way, he was one of the most laid back people, except in combat. It took a lot to truly set him off.
"To get down to business, I excused the higher level players to focus on you and," pointing toward the level door, "to get you through that door. You must be level three, and you've failed to do that. Some longer than others," he added, looking at few particular players. He waved his hands through Garm's hologram. "Your goal is to find and aide this man. You will be presented with fights, and you must complete them. Failure to do so, and this door won't open until your level five." This too was another bluff, but they didn't know that. He paused, waiting for a response.
Ero looked up, but remained silent. "So dramatic," he said under his breath, not even aware it was his father speaking.

Morte watches the man Ziedi, he saw throught both of his bluffs quite easily, though to his disappiontment it appeared no one else did. Ziedi looked around and counted the eighteen of people and the levels. Most were level one, a few level two. He started pairing them off, creating two groups of three and and three groups of four. He named off and paired them each at the entrances of the maze, which were temporarily sealed off to prevent starting off too soon.
"Hmmm, Morte, Evanescent, Rael, and," spotting the black hooded figure below,"Ero. Head to entrance five and wait for the beginning."
Rael, a knight, stood next to Morte, eerie vibe or not. He was level two, and held his sword of obvious water based nature close. Ero got up and stretched, walking over and introducing himself.
"Ero. Ranger Mage." it was short, warm hearted, but he said nothing else, not even holding out a hand to be shook.
