Book store.

Oh. That can't be too bad. Can it?

It's great. Laxed as. Co-workers are easy going. Managers easy going. Workloads pretty sweet. Solid staff discounts at 7 different stores.

But probably boring as all hell?

Sometimes yeah. But the customers are all (usually) pretty wicked as well. The staff all have wicked sense of humour too, so we keep each other on our toes haha. If we find ourselves with little to do, especially if we don't have any stock to put out on the floor, we just pretend to be working by walking around the store & straightening up book displays haha. I do that about 10 times a day xD

I used to work at McDonald's. It sucked. Customers were always b****y. Management was overly strict.
Not fun at all.

And all for minimum wage. *sigh*

& no, I live in New Zealand. I work in a book/retail chain called Whitcoulls. The store I work in is one of the smaller of the stores though.

If you think about it, stuff there is probably more expensive so that's why the minimum wage is so much higher. Unless everyone there is completely bonkers.

I think that's how much my mom makes being an LPN at the hospital, but i'm not really sure as apparently it's too embarrasing to tell people how much you make an hour.

I've never understood why people think it's rude to ask how much someone makes.
It's just a simple question.

But I suppose in these days, your life's worth is based on materialistic things, including the amount you make. So most people probably think it's too personal...
