Testuser: Walmart is a very diverse place. The shoppers are the least diverse. So much white trash. So many food stamps. It's sad when I see employees paying with them though. I've seen all kinds sh#t from customers. A big black lady had a full on lightsaber duel with her kids. A guy sounded like Bill Cosby and was therefore unintelligible. I asked a probably lesbian 20 something if I could help her with anything(it's a rule) and she said. "no F off". The customers come in 3 categories. Normal people(50%), trashy people(49%), very nice people who must be there by mistake(1%).
Employees are all over the place though. The back room guys(no girls) all look like they wanna mug you. The greeters are aggressively friendly and are genuine. A lot of associates just want to punch in and punch out. They don't care really. Surprisingly most of the ones who don't care are the old people. They're a huge burden on the rest of us(I'll elaborate later). There are a couple who love coming to work, try really hard, and believe all the propaganda(there's constant propaganda). There are a couple people who are mad all the time. One however is so cynical from their job it's just entertaining.
Oh yeah and almost everyone is a zombie. They zone out and just look soulless. Very few fall into my category. I work really hard because that's what they pay me to do. Work. However if you work hard there you get sh#t on. Another hard worker there is the maintenance "leader". Guess who gets called for every mess? Not his crew. Just him. His crew is just wandering aimlessly or sitting in the cafe.
Oh and those old people I told you about? They're so threatened by me they're trying to get me fired. Two have said on two different occasions I was caught on security cameras breaking rules. The first time I didn't believe them because several managers game me permission to do what I was doing and it conflicted with walmart policy. It turned out to be phony as I suspected. Ever since then that associate hasn't been to happy with me around. Maybe after 15 years there I'm starting to make them look bad.
Hey wanna hear about my worst day there? The day before Easter working in Seasonal(Easter). They only scheduled me and my boss's boss. I saw that boss maybe 2 times so it was really just me. It was a ******* nightmare alone. Total mess, no room to work, crazy customers. I injured my leg somehow and every step was quite painful. And to top it off I had to pick something up from my department and one of those old folks(who's infamous for having everyone do his work) had me go load a high truck with 14 2 cubic foot bags of compacted soil(like 60 pounds a bag or more). I was covered in dirt for the rest of my day in Seasonal(you shouldn't be muddy indoors). I almost said F it I'm done that day.
Today wasn't bad. I got to do my favorite thing at work. Building grills.
