Thought the Sports Forum needed a NBA Thread.

I was sad to see Steve Nash leave my favorite team. I hope he wins a title with the Lakers before he retires.

At least my Suns signed Dragic.

I think the Celtics will be very good this season. They have made the moves this offseason that can really help them.

I saw that the Bulls signed Nate Robinson to back up who is replacing Rose until he is back at 100%

Well I'm a Sixers fan, so I never expect more than above average play at the best.

Yes, I like the Heat, but I liked them before the Big Three. Hopefully all the hate for them will shift towards Howard and how he has been acting with his team.

I have no problem with Heat fans. It's the people who suddenly became Heat fans after Lebron went that annoy me. And even then I realize that some people do legitimately like the Heat and know what they're talking about. But I have one friend who is a "Lebron fan". It's the most frustrating thing ever.

I don't see any team in the East, except maybe the Bulls, competing with the Heat for a while. They're just too loaded.

What about Boston? They did take the Heat to Game Seven and did make a lot of moves this offseason. They also had a really good draft.

FINALLY, after months of listening to so much torture about Dwight Howard, he is with the Lakers. Andre Iguodala goes to the Denver Nuggets, Andrew Bynum and Jason Richardson will go to the 76ers, and the Magic get a ton of first round picks and three players.

Lakers are going to be dangerous. That starting five is insane. I'm not sure how I feel about getting Bynum. If he can stay healthy he's an absolute beast.

I actually think the 76ers got the best of that trade, if Bynum can stay healthy.

Lakers are going to be good this year.

My favorite player is Steve Nash. My favorite team is the Pheonix Suns.

My favorite player in the NBA is Chris Paul. But ive been preaching since 2007 (Best year of NCAA basketball mind you, even though my Buckeyes got murdered by them Gators in the championship lol) that Durant was going to be the man. My nba team I cheer for is the OKC Thunder.

I think it'll be the Lakers or Thunder vs the Miami Heat or Knicks in the Finals next year. That is if Carmelo learns to put his diva stuff aside and be a team player/facilitator.

I think Boston also has a chance to make it. They made a lot of moves in Free Agency.

Hell yea. Picked up Courtney Lee which adds defense and a little scoring alongside along said Avery Bradley. Then Jason Terry is just instant offense. They signed Darko too which adds another big body to the paint. They've definitely reloaded after losing Ray Allen, whom couldn't mesh with Rondo anyways.

Reason why Im high on the Knicks is because they have all the pieces needed to beat the Miami Heat. They match up well against them.

Boston also had a good Draft.

The Knicks do match up well against the Heat. They also have Jason Kidd now, so that should help.

Boston got my boy Sully (Im a Ohio State fan btw lol) and Fab Melo. What I really like about the Jared Sullinger pick is that Kevin Garnett is going to make him work. Being a Ohio State fan as long as I have, you tend to watch your players carefully, and Sully is the traditional bser with alot of talent(natural skill at post, which is rare for players his age) and a big body but no true work ethic. He gets lazy and disinterested, not to mention he complains alot. Garnett is going to shape his *** up lmao and ultimately make Sully that player I hope he would become at Ohio State had he stayed there all four years.


Thing that modern fans often underestimate and look over Jason Kidd's craftiness. He has slick hands and he doesn't necessary have to square up defend the PG position; he can poke the ball away and get a steal without playing tough on-ball defense.

Can't wait for the season now that my Phillies are pretty much out of the wild card race and hockey's locked out :/

@Seth - My favorite team is the 76ers, don't really have a favorite player. If I had to choose it'd probably be Dirk, just because.

Kidd's still got it. Going to be an interesting year, that's for sure.

I actually play with the 76ers on NBA 2K12 lol. Philly is going to make noise in the East because Andrew Bynum is going to be motivated to play his *** off.

The Knicks are going to do work. They just might nab a top 3 spot in the East if they play how I hope they will. New play off teams I think will be in the East are the Nets taking the Hawks spot and the Pistons/Bucks taking the Magic spot. In the West the only team ive ruled out in the West is the Suns, since everybody else seems to be hella competitive, as the West always is.
