New England isn't Arizona. They are consistently getting to Championships and SuperBowls.
Arizona choked, and for a number of reason. First off, they barely defeated Green Bay. They aren't use to playing in the post season, at least mot this deep, and their inexperienced showed in their number of mistakes.
I was responding to your message saying NE were only 1 away. Arizona were also only 1 away. Also, on NE's huge opportunity to take #1 in the AFC (obviously an important game for them), they "chocked", against a 5-10 at that time Miami Dolphins. However if they tanked to get an easier draw then I guess you could use that argument. It depends; would KC be a harder team to beat than Pittsburgh?

Nobody throws games away in the NFL to get a better draw, it's a ruthless business and people get fired and lose their starting spot when they don't perform so nobody would risk it. A good example of this is 1968 when Philadelphia had to lose the last game of the season to guarantee getting the number one spot on the NFL draft and O.J. Simpson. What happened was Philadelphia won that game and Buffalo got the number one spot and O.J. Simpson. The funny thing about this story is that during the half-time Christmas Paegent show of the Philadelphia game the fans threw snowballs and booed when Santa Claus appearred.
Matt: Losing to Miami, Philly, and the Jets were all flukes for the Pats. It was like 80 degrees in Miami, and New England over the years have split with us Phins because they simply aren't used to dying of a heat stroke. As for the other two games, plus Denver in regular season, New England was desimated by injury. I don't think they had Gronk in any of those games, let alone at a 100%.
They lost, actually lost to Denver in the AFC Championship, but even that can be consudered a fluke. If their kicker hadn't miss his girst PAT Kick in over 500 attempts, and if the Pats O-Line hadn't spontaneous collasped in that very game, then NE probably would've won (not to take anything away from Denver's D in that game though).
Arizona, however, was no fluke. They had been rolling over everyone, but in the Post Season, they were playing dreadfully. They barely escsped the Not-5-Years-Ago Packers, who they had crush by fivr TDs just three weeks beforehand. And that horrible play continued agsinst Carolina, especially with Palmer. They just simply didn't have the experience in those type of games, plain and simple.
Perhaps not (in my opinion). If you can't handle the heat, that's a problem. And if you can't win when you have injuries, that's another problem (it seems almost every game they had injuries in, they lost). What happens if NE lose Brady, both their wide receiver's, and their best defensive player (whoever it is) within the first 3 games of next season. And if they are ALL long-term injuries (8+ weeks)? It seems very unlikely, but imagine how they would go.
Also, if all 2015/16's losses for the Pats were flukes, I guess every loss in 2014/15 were flukes too:
Miami - Yes, you explained that one to me Kansas City - Seems like Brady played awful Green Bay - Outplayed Buffalo - Had already clinched top seed.
One game was as a result of being in Miami, one was a garbage time game, and two were honest losses. NE may be that good that they only lose 1 or 2 games a season that aren't garbage time games or filled with injuries, but a loss is a loss. If you have 8 losses that are 'flukes', they are still 8 losses plain and simple.
No one is invincible.

NE was still gelling with the KC game last year. And what did they do after that loss? RIp off like ten in a row before the Pack BARELY snuck by them? And then after that they went on to win the Super Bowl. No team is invincible, but NE it as close as it comes over the last 15 years. 6 Super Bowls and 4 Wins in 15 years is UNHEARD OF. That has never been done ever. Even the 70s Steelers and 80s 49ers didn't go to Super Bowl that often, and NE has gone to the Championship virtually every year they didn't make the Super Bowl, give or take a few divisional losses.
I have to put the New England Patriots number one overal as the most dominent team since the Super Bowl era began eclipsing my personal favourites the 70's Steelers, 80's 49rs and 90's Cowboys. Unlike the aforementioned teams that had a few years dominance the Patriots have been a winning team throughout Brady's tenure as the quarterback which is now well over ten years.
Where were all these New England Patriot and Tampa Bay Buccaneer fans during the 70's and 80's? Both of those teams were the laughing stocks of the NFL, especially the Bucs who where known as the yucks with their Errol Flyn helmets and orange jerseys. True, the Patriots somehow made it to the Super Bowl in 85 and got embarrassed by the Bears. Mind you, apart from Miami the Bears beat everyone that season.
