What things can you remember taking to school when you were a young kid? In the mid 70's when I was at primary school the craze was Panini footbal stickers, everyone used to swap them during break time. My son who is 7 takes Zomblings, football trading cards, Star Wars trading cards, spinning tops, and Gogos Crazy Bones to school.
I bet you were popular KingofCorn taking that into school, probably started a panic. Those replica guns now you can buy in toy shots look so real these days they can fool you if you are not familiar with firearms.
I remember the football stickers being huge for a few years. Espana 82 especially. Everyone at breaktime with their packs of swaps. I also remember a few matchbox cars. And at one point it was who had the best star wars toy.

I am highly protective of my stuff but in elementary school pokemon cards, beyblades, and these little like plastic mini monster thingies were highly traded among everyone. Indoor recess was game time and early economics.

Lol, testuser, you must be as old as me. I remember being about 12 when those Panini Wold Cup 82 football sticker were all the rage amongst kids in playgrounds in the UK. I used to collect them myself except in those days before the internet it was really difficult to complete those books.
Yes it was pretty much impossible to complete them unless you sent off a cheque in a stamped address envelope and waited 6-8 weeks. I didn't complete mine. They had us hooked though. Now I get to see companies doing the same stuff to my kids. just at 5 times the price.
The stickers craze I think ended though when I got a bit older and someone got a digital watch. Then we all wanted one and you had to have the one with the cool alarm sound. A-Team digital watches FTW!

Not much. Pokemon and YuGiOh were all the craze when I was in the lower grades of elementary school, as well as Gameboys and stuff. But by third grade, if you brought a football or a tennis ball for wall ball, you were pretty much the man.
Yeah, where I went if you were the kid with the soccer ball everyone loved you. Sports beat everything but rare pokemon/yugioh cards.

Before Yu Gi Oh and Pokemon it was Top Trumps, I remember playing that game regularly in the playground in the late 70's, I recall having the Horror, Superhero, Western Gunfighters, World Cup '78 and Prehistoric Dinosaurs packs.
Top trumps were cool. I had the Cars. But I don't remember playing it at school. Maybe it wasn't allowed. But I did play with friends at home. Lambo Countach rocked
