Everyone is Playing Clash Royal

It seems that everywhere I look people are playing Clash Royale!

Anyone here playing it - I am.

I am not. Constant in-game advertisements in other apps have ruled out any chances of me playing it.

There are no ads that I have seen in this one.

In other apps (eg Subway Surfers) I sometimes watch videos to earn extras. The videos for Clash Royale look stupid imo so I'm 100% not interested in it for that reason only. I'm super picky.

There is no way to earn gems that I have seen in clash royal (except for opening chests that you earn during normal gameplay). It's a shame really, maybe they will add that feature. I play Subway Surfer too! And I'm badass at it.

Well Im not, so win me over with this one. What is it about?

Is is a mobile game app? As some can play without the internet after being loaded up with stops the influx of adverts. It works with a few Ive had anyway.

There is nothing wrong with a few mobile games to keep you occupied on a bus.

To be honest, it's just a small 1v1 moba card game (that's what it is however saying it doesn't make too much sense imo). Whoever can push down towers better and defend against their opponents push better. Not only that but it has an elo system and different ranks based on how many trophies you have, (you earn trophies by winning duels).

There are also Clans, which for the most part are useless other than being a medium for socializing and earning more cards (every few hours you can request your clan to give you extra cards they have 10 commons or 1 rare per request. Another incentive clans offer are the availability to challenge friends or clan mates to duels - 1v1's.

At the very heart of the game you have the cards you are given which for the most part are based off the popular game Clash of Clans. Each card has a cost of elixir that must be used in order to play it. At the beginning of a duel you are given 5 elixir and game 1 each second. The way you use your elixir and make plays great decides the overall outcome. Playing the right cards that can counter theirs while using less elixir is known as elixir advantage and as mentioned before greatly plays a role. An example would be, player 1 uses a Prince which costs 5 elixir to use to try and take out a tower player 2 times the placement of the Prince and counters with the card Skeleton Army which only costs 4 elixir. Because player 2 used a card with a lower elixir cost than player 1, player 2 has the elixir advantage and can play more cards now versus player 1 who used more elixir to play a better card. At first this may not seem too important but the higher you begin to climb the more costly cards will begin to be and it will matter.

Now the main goal of a duel and how to win. Well it's quite simple, take down the towers. There are 3 towers, two crown towers and the kings tower. Each Crown Tower is worth 1 crown and the King's Tower automatically wins the duel if you manage to take it down (however I have had a draw since my opponent and I both took down each persons King's Tower at the same time). You get 3 minutes, I believe, to try and take down at least 1 tower. However if you and your opponent have the same amount of towers up when the initial 3 minutes are up it goes into overtime and the first to take down a tower wins the duel. Although, if either player fails to take out another tower the duel ends in a draw.

I mean those are nice but I'm not big on the ones that try to keep you full occupied. Unless it's like hearthstone

Fully occupied games just suck - for example Grepolis - It literally has the ability to take over lives as you have to be on hand to attend to battles and attacks and all times of the day or night. I used to play it years ago - Glad to have escaped!

Never played it. Don't really play mobile games, would rather to listen to my sic or just write. ;)

My friends play it but idfk what it even is...

I play it often. Stuck at 1500 and the only cards I'm missing are, Ice Wizard, Mirror, Balloon and poison spell. rip

I got to 1500 trophies, but have now fallen back to about 1300 while trying new cards out. Yes very difficult to progress after 1500 I think especially when you have inferior cards.

Hmmmm....think I will just stick to the Simpsons Tapped OUt. I did have the Sims but I deleted it as it was just too slow.

You play tapped out? Is it any good? Can you actually get anywhere decent without spending a ton of cash! I play FreePlay - purely to keep our guide updated, but the requirements for activity are in my opinion ridiculous in respect of what you need to do to complete tasks and goals within set time frames to unlock certain items. I guess that's how they make their money!

Tapped out is very easy to play without having to spend anything. It's a little slow at first as you have minimum characters and few things to do. Everything is done within in a time frame but unlike the Sims freeplay you don't have to keep their stats up and wait 2 min while they have a shower XD.

I also had Family Guy for a while but it kept crashing and the developers lack of interest in mine and many others complaint made me delete the game after awhile.
