That year, yes. It was part of our Health course (fitness etc). There was supposed to be another the next year but luckily they cancelled it. I am soooo unfit.

I was not sporty previously. And had no interest in running. I had the same reaction to having to do cross country runs at school (several compulsory ones every year).
Getting older now and had to do something to avoid sitting down all day long, and I have now gotten the bug. I think once you discover you can do something you want to find out how well you can manage to do it. Or at least give it a try.

If something got be motivated (eg a running group or something where unfit people get together and run together to build up their stamina, endurance, fitness until they can manage on their own) I would likely start. But the fact that I generally eat more unhealthy than healthy and am underweight (16yrs old and 51kg) means there's no urgency in terms of looking unfit.

I've been trying to build up my running again recently but today I somehow manage to strain my right calf muscle. I wasn't overdoing it so no idea why its decided to act up on me.

Possibly i didn't stretch enough. I looked up low salt problems and it says it can lead to cramps but not a strain which i think I have done. Mind you if there is a chance that a large portion of salty chips from the chippie will help I think its well worth trying...
