I'm no where near being a fitness nerd (if that is a valid term these days). But I have been trying to do more exercise. A few years ago I realised that as I was getting older and sitting on my **** all day I was starting to feel pretty crappy a lot of the time. I'm trying to jog/run a bit every week and do a few other exercises. I think you need to keep fairly active or you just go downhill faster. Plus it means I can eat a few more evil meals once in awhile.

There has been alot of young people dropping down dead here. The problem is that people decide to change their lifestyle and instead of starting off with 10min a day they go for a 5mile run. You have to start off small people!!!!
Just putting that out there.
Thanx to Craizen for the sig, love ya babe, Hubby for the avi.
I never got invested in the stuff, I thought it was just a bunch of powder that companies throw together and act as if it makes you stronger. Reality your just wasting the money and using it as a motivation to work out more.
There are plenty of foods that can boost energy without using synthetic crap. The worlds strongest man is staying in a local hotel. He eats 20eggs, 12 whole chickens and much much more in a day XD
Eggs for example, provide everything you need in terms of vits, protein, minerals and fat

Whey Protein, seems relatively safe and good for getting quick access protein. Yes there are many alternatives to this, but I'd much rather pour 1 scoop of powder and mix it with water then throw a piece of chicken into the oven and have to wait close to 40 mins before eating it. The claim is consuming one of these after working out helps the recovery process of your body quicker. Again I'm no expert, but that's the claim.
C4 is an energy booster. Again many alternatives to this, probably alot that are cheaper and better. I just like the easy access of dumping a bit of it into water and being good to go. This has some side effects I've noticed, the no crash symptom they claim to have is BS (well to me anyways), also if not taken properly it can be somewhat dangerous. I remember the first time taking it, I received an abnormal amount of energy and went crazy working out causing me to get fatigue and almost passing out (lack of short breaks and little to no water consumption).
I agree that most of it is simple marketing gimmicks but some stuff does work (usually this stuff will be pricey). It really all depends on how serious you are, and how much money you are willing to spend.
And about the Eggs, haha. I've never done them raw, and don't ever plan on doing it . But eggs are an awesome source of protein for such low calories. (High Cholesterol though)
Yeah I got to keep an eye on my Cholesterol. That's a good detail of information on protein and energy booster. Sounds like I could use the both without working out sometimes.
