Matt77, I'd be very interested in knowing what you thought of it, I live in Spain and have to wait a couple of more weeks before I can see it. I keep hearing good reviews but they are from unknown sources if you know what I mean, an honest recommendation from a friend I feel is worth more than ten internet reviews.
I'm not a big movie person so if I like a movie it's probably good universally. The last movie I saw was Logan, and I thought that was great. It scored 92% on Rotten Tomatoes who are known for sometimes spanking movies in their reviews, and if Wonder Woman got 93% I predict it will be great too.

The movie was good. Storyline was predictable in a few places but that's normal. The fighting scenes were good and luckily there was much more than fighting in the movie. I'd definitely recommend it.

Thanks for your review Matt77, I've just got to wait another week before I can see it in Spain, the movie doing the rounds here at the moment is Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales which I don't fancy seeing at all, that's one franchise that should have been put to bed years ago.
I'm going to try and see the movie myself next week, I've already purchased the book on the making of the movie which I'm waiting to arrive, apparently a lot of effort went into the Amazon scenery which I'm interested to see. I'm wondering how it compares to Marvels Thor Asgard.
As for the Pirates of the Carribean, I don't think they'll be making any more after the slating the reveiwers gave it. There's only so many time you can beat a dead horse before the public say enough is enough and I think now they've had enough.
BTW Sanzano as the answer to the first post on this page, the reviews I've seen are from the same person who are reviewing films of genres they don't like. If you don't like the genre then get lost I dont want to hear what you think.
Rotten Tomatoes is just one of the places I go to have a look at the reviews of forthcoming movies. Obviously it's not the only place, especially if it's like you say one person reviewing all the movies. I still maintain from what I've seen so far Wonder Woman looks like it could be a decent movie, I love the fact it's set during WW2 which was when she was created by the American psychologist and writer William Moulton Marston. Just so happens to be the same guy who invented the lie detector.
Your'e right Matt, it's set in 1918 which makes it WW1 which makes me want to see the movie even more as that war was fought with horse cavalry and in the trenches which is an ideal setting for Wonder Woman as she is an expert horse rider so no doubt there will be a battle involving Wonder Woman on horseback during the movie, if there's not it's a lost opportunity to do something different and spectacular.
I actually saw a trailer for it on TV now. Looking forward to this one even if its just to give the sexists at Hollywood a pow in the kisser.
Looks good, I wasn't keen on it being set on WWI but apparently that's true to the comic?! Dunno if that is true but hey she's hot and it has Chris Pine who is rawr so yey...to the big screen I will go.
Pirates was slated? I know that apparently the new Mummy film fell flat on its face but I haven't heard anything bad about the new Pirates film.
Thanx to Craizen for the sig, love ya babe, Hubby for the avi.
