Sounds like a publicity stunt to me to be honest Matt, I'd love to see it happen though. Especially if she kicks a 50 yard plus field goal. There will be some very embarrassed NFL kickers about if that happens.
Clowney may opt for Miami, like you say it's an attractive location steeped in NFL history and if the Dolphins sort out their quarterback problem the team has the potential to go to the playoffs in the next two to three years if they get a couple of good drafts. Clowney has time, he's still young, it may appeal to him being the face of the Dolphins franchise.
I wouldn't mind if the Phins get Clowney, as long as it comes at a decent price. He would be the building block for the next five years on Flores' Defense. We don't really have a RB to give away to the Texans, but word is they are interested in adding a WR to Hopkins since they lost Fuller to injury. If we could unload crummy Stills or injury-prone Parker (or both) with one of our two second rounders next year, that would be a good deal for Clowney (assuming he re-ups with us at the end of the year, since he will have to play under the Franchise Tag no matter what team he plays for). We CANNNOT give up Tunsil or a 1st for Clowney.
On a fantasy note... Could you imagine if we got Clowney for the deal I mentioned, and then we could somehow get Williams from the Redskins for our other second rounder and pair him with Tunsil? It would give us a pass rushing threat on Defense, while giving Rosen two stud Tackles to help rebuild our O-Line. Just a dream though.
Worry not Warrior. We're winning the Superbowl this season
And I kid you not. This is my sporting year. Ash Barty won a Grand Slam, Geelong have just finished the season in 1st place, Swansea are sitting in 2nd place, and Miami will earn a wildcard spot and win the Superbowl from the 6th seed
Flores, Rosen, Rosen, Wilkins, & M. Fitzpatrick are going to win the main awards at season end

It looks like Trent Williams is adamant he will not play for the Redskins again regardless of what Gruden tells the press. If that is the case I can only hope Washington get a 1st or at worst a 2nd round draft pick for him.
I see Elliott of the Cowboys is still a no show...
Interesting what is happening in Washington with the wide recievers, last year the only decent one the Redskins had was Josh Doctson and now it turns out he may be cut because players have arrived that are better than him. Doctson was a 2016 first round draft pick who made plenty of highlight reel catches last year.
Any news who the Colts are goinng after to replace Luck? They are running out of time if they don't plan on starting with their back-up.
The Washington President said that Williams is going to be a Redskin this season. However I think he's the same guy that the vast majority of Washington fans want to leave the club. Bruce Allen I think is his name. Washington just need to cut their losses and try to get a good draft pick like you say.
If there's competition in the WR spots it can only be a good thing. It means when Washington eventually have their 15 injuries and 5 WR injuries (you know it will happen), they will have good depth and the reserve players can cover the loss.
I'd think Indy will go with Brisset. He started the entire 2017/18 season and went at 58% for 13TDs and 7INTs, with a 81.7 passer rating. They're not great numbers, but for a backup QB they are excellent. The fact that he only threw 7INTs in 16 games is a big plus. If Brisset's form drops off, Indy should trade for Beathard or Mullens and see how they go. If they show promise, Indy can skip drafting a QB in 2020, but if they struggle as I predict, they need a new passer. There's no point for them to get someone like Brian Hoyer.

Haskins stats are getting a bit better each week but nowhere near as good as the Miami rookie Jake Rudock. Perhaps he is the guy who will be the next Miami quarterback. It's becoming an intriguing battle in Miami for the position. The veteran, the rookie, and the trade. I still think Rosen will pull through although it now looks like he is going to be pushed by Rudock. Fitzgerald will be gone by seasons end.
Just read that the Dolphins have named Fitzgerald as their week 1 starting quarterback, it's not looking good for Rosen at the moment.
Great news that Elliott is holding out and the Cowboys management are preparing to play without him. That means Prescott will be an average quarterback and the Cowboys will pick up a few early losses.
Rudock looked great. But, of course, Miami is going to stick with Fitz. Just great.
I got to see the 49ers Game. Beathard looked great. Incredible block he gave to help the RB score their first TD. His passing TD before halftime was a thing of beauty. Throwing away from his natural body motion while on the run, dropping it on a dime from thirty yards out where only the WR could grab it. Mullens came in for one drive - why, I don't know - and was bleh. He was 1/3: hit the quick out route, missed long, and the last batted down at the line. If the Niners were smart, they would trade Mullens and keep Beathard. Beathard has the strongest arm among all their QBs, and, believe it or not, is the most mobile as well. Plus, I think the Niners could get more for Mullens for some reason. lol
Dallas have a serious salary cap problem. Prescott, Elliot, and Cooper won't all be satisfied. One of them is not going to get the deal and money they want, and will have to take a pay cut. That doesn't bode well for the locker room culture if you have your 2 most important players both wanting big contracts and a star WR wanting recognition too. Dallas won a lot of games by small margins last season. I can see them having a bad season this time around.
Dallas should pay Elliot big bucks, Cooper a reasonable amount, and give Dak an ultimatum (take ~$25M per year or leave).
San Francisco have a big decision to make regarding the QBs. Beathard and Mullens are both system QBs who I predict will flop away from SF, so if they get an offer for a 3rd round pick in exchange for one of them, they should offload immediately. I think Beathard has more natural talent and more potential, but Mullens is a more reliable option and more consistent.
They should trade Beathard and keep the more reliable Mullens as a backup.
I find it strange now why Fitz is starting. I know Flores was always going to do it, but Rosen has looked better in preseason. He doesn't need to sit and get used to the NFL environment, because he's played 13 games with Arizona.
Start Rosen, have Fitz as the backup, and keep developing Rudock while he's the 3rd-stringer.

Miami to trade Tunsil and Stills to Houston for two 1st Rounders and a 2nd Rounder! Hate to see Tunsil go, but we get rid of Stills in the process of gain so much draft capital. Loving that.
Well well, there were some surprise trades weren't there?!?!
I was originally disappointed that we lost Stills, but then I heard he's been causing trouble. Tunsil is a massive loss, but combining their losses and getting two 1st rounders and a 2nd rounder is amazing business. In the short-term we're screwed (and so is Rosen), but it means we'll be able to draft Tua, and will then have 4 quality draft picks remaining.
...WTF. We waived Jake Rudock?!?!
Dennis, Washington have cut Josh Doctson and Samaje Perine.
Bizarrely, LA Chargers have given permission to Melvin Gordon to seek a trade. By making this public, it means they'll be lucky to get a 3rd rounder for him. But still, they have just thrown away their chances of contending for the Superbowl by throwing away their entire running game.

We have decimated our o-line. Rosen will be running for his life once he becomes the starter.
We have also traded Kiki Alsono to New Orleans. And I heard that we released several key starters a few weeks ago. And by released I mean we lose them and get zero in return.
We definitely are the worst team in the NFL now. This season is going to be horrific.

It must be exciting being a Dolphins fan after those trades knowing that next year's draft could be the turning point for the club with a few quality picks from all the draft stock they've picked up. They are basically in the same position the Raiders were last year.
Clowney going to the Seahawks for a third round pick is a surprise, especially when you consider he is a three time pro bowler.
Case Keenum has been named the starting quarterback for the Redskins which was a surprise. Not sure where that leaves Colt McCoy, you would have thought knowing the system for the amount of years he has he would be the automatic starter. Not sure what the Redskins are going to do with their quarterback situation now, they now have four on the books including Alex Smith who will probably never play again.
Not surprised Josh Doctson and Samaje Perine, both players were being pushed by rookie talent and they've had their chance with only moderate success.
I have to laugh at the Cowboys, I bet the they still give Prescott big bucks, bottom line is the quarterback position is the hardest to fill of the three. Elliott will probably get some of the money he is after even though he is one of the best players in the league running backs are two a penny. As for Cooper, he'll be told to get on with it or be cut, he's not that good to worry about.
It's not exciting to be a Miami fan. Probably because I'm not used to my sporting team losing all the time. This season will finish somewhere around the 3-13 mark. Essentially Miami have played 4 of their 24 preseason games in preparation for the 2020/21 season. It's a matter of short-term pain for long-term gain, and I understand these roster moves are the smart decisions, but it also means another year of suffering for Miami fans. I've only supported Miami for 4 years; many others like Warrior have had to deal with mediocrity for over a decade.
Keenum will get his chance in the first few weeks, and if he flops (as I predict he will), he will be cut and McCoy will enter once he's over his injury. Washington should only play Haskins once the season is halfway complete (at the earliest).
Talks with Elliot are progressing, which means he has probably taken a significantly lower amount. Jerry Jones was publicly joking and mocking him, so he's clearly not a big fan. And as we know, Jerry Jones is very powerful in the NFL. No way is Elliot going to be able to successfully negotiate with him. You're right about Cooper; he'll need to take what they offer him or they'll trade him for a 2nd round pick. I can't believe it, but I think Dak will get his payday...
My tips are in for this week. I went with 12 home teams and 4 road teams. I generally went with the home team if I was in doubt, since Week 1 is always unpredictable.
Edit - I just realised that Miami don't get two 2020 1st rounders from Houston. It is one 1st rounder this draft, and another in the next. The rebuild gets slower and slower...

Yes, but Miami can always use the 2021 draft pick as a bargaining chip with a team who doesn't see anything in 2020 draft or use it to get more picks in next years draft.
I'm going to look at this weeks games now...
As soon as you refresh my memory on how to access the site.
Then log in if you need to, and once you're logged in, you should see an option in red saying "Tip NFL now". You'll then see the games, and at the bottom you can submit your final tips. Remember, the team on the left is the home team.

My Picks are in. I guess my upset for the week is the 49ers; however, I don?t really consider it one. My gut said go with the Panthers and Jags, but I didn?t have enough nerve to do it.
