I don't feel totally confident with all my picks either Warrior13, quite a few of them go against what the majority of people on the site are picking. If I can gain another point or two on Matt this week I'll be happy. It will also crank up the pressure on him for the following week and hopefully by week 17 he will be a nervous wreck.
Dennis: I agree. Just gotta get a game or two this week and next week and we'll be in business. Just stinks we can't trust really any of these teams this year. Upsets happen when none of us expect it.
Mitch Trubisky clearly wants to keep his job next season.
For those of you who didn't follow the game, do NOT let the score fool you. The real score should be 31-14. That's what it was before some garbage time points for Dallas. Chicago scored 24 consecutive points after going down 0-7.
Oddly, when Dallas played Buffalo 2 weeks ago, they scored a TD on the opening drive as well. In that game they also stalled, scoring a garbage time TD to end a run of 23 consecutive points conceded, and making the score look closer than it was.
Dennis, Washington can still make the playoffs! If they upset Green Bay again (last time they played Washington dominated) they'll get their record to 4-9. Then comes home divisional matchups against Philly & NY Giants, before traveling to Dallas. Win all those, and they get to 7-9. Dallas look truly awful, and if they lose vs LA Rams, @ Philly, and vs Washington, they will finish 6-10 below Washington. Philly play NY Giants twice, but Eli is back to sweep Philly in his last act as an NFL player. Philly can beat Dallas, and they'll also play Washington away from home. Lose all except Dallas, and they finish 6-10 below Washington.
Of course, I am joking about Washington, but it is still possible. As people pointed out, Washington are the in-form NFC East team bizarrely.

Sadly, this is what can happen when a team knows they can lose certain games and still make the playoffs. The Cowboys knew they could lose against the Bears, and they know they could also do so against the Rams next week and it would not matter to them. As long as they defeat the Eagles and Giants in the final two weeks, effectively tying them with the Eagles at 8-8, they will still win the division and make the playoffs due to tiebreakers.
Nope. Dallas have blown it, again. They blew it last week too. The only problem was that Philly matched them with an awful loss to a tanking team, despite leading 28-14. I expect Philly to win out, including vs Dallas. That game will be @ Philly. Also Dallas are now 0-6 against teams with a winning record, and by the time Philly beat them, they will have a winning record.
I also expect LA Rams to beat them easily, which will be another team with a winning record to beat them. Dallas will finish 7-9 hopefully.
I mean, at this stage even Washington look a dangerous opponent for Dallas. Guice and Peterson can take the pressure off Haskins.
Lets all laugh at the Dallas Cowboys

Double posting cause I need to point it out. I've found this season much more enjoyable to follow. And no, tipping isn't influencing my opinion. There have been a number of surprises:
- Brady beginning his decline - Buffalo being 9-3 - Miami winning 3 games, including 2 against playoff contenders - Baltimore being 10-2, & Jackson being MVP frontrunner - Cleveland flopping - Luck retiring - Tannessee - LA Chargers flopping - Dak improving, but his team flopping - Wentz flopping - NY Giants being 2-10 - Cousins performing well in pressure situations - Chicago flopping - Cam Newton's career possibly ending, & undrafted Kyle Allen looking like a starting QB - Atlanta flopping - San Fransisco being 10-2 - LA Rams flopping

I won't be surprised either way if Dallas wins or loses the division. Doesn't really matter since Garrett will be canned unless they somehow get hot and go to the Super Bowl, which won't happen. No way they can beat the Seahawks/49ers in Round 1.
This season has been horrible to watch imo. Like you, nothing to do with our picks. Just horrible games, horrible teams, horrible play calls, horrible execution. Mediocrity is not fun to watch. Why I've been more interested in College Football more than ever before.
Also, Brady isn't declining. More like the whole offense around him is crumbling. They should've kept AB. They should've bent over backwards to keep Gronk. They should've invested more in depth on their injury-prone O-Line.
You both tipped brave, but went in completely different directions. Warrior you need a miracle to take this to playoffs, but you can still get 2nd place if Dennis (or me!) blows it by tipping brave again. Dennis, this title is yours. I can't stop you! I thought my 10/14 was pretty good. But 12/14 so far in a very tough week?! And now you don't even have to throw the kitchen sink at me.
I said earlier in the week that I tipped 2 teams which I didn't want to tip. I wanted to tip Carolina and Arizona in upsets. I didn't, and both teams lost. Scores would've been tied if I had gone with my gut...
The Week 17 joker round is CANCELLED.
Matt - 136 Dennis - 134 Warrior - 128
