If the Jets are #1, they will draft Lawrence.

Also, Darnold's value has plummeted. I'm hearing, at least at this moment, he's only worth between a 2nd-4th Round Pick. No one is going to give the Jets a 1st Rounder for him, especially if everyone knows they are going to drafting Lawrence. Why do you think they couldn't trade Bell who is still worth a mid to late round pick? Because all the other teams knew the Jets would just release him.

Jets will have a new coach and new QB next year. The only way they don't is if they go on some amazing and improbable run to end the season.

NY Jets are looking a lot like we did last season. We started 0-7 seemingly on our way to 0-16 or 1-15, and then finished with a 5-11 record that could've been better. The only difference is that we had Flores, and they have Gase. Teams that start really bad usually have a mid-season resurgence. If Gase gets fired, NY Jets may fluke some wins randomly.

Also remember that NY Jets were 0-4 last season, before going 7-5 in their last 12 games.
Atlanta were also 2-7 before going 5-2 in their last 7 games.

If Gase gets fired the NY Jets will win a few games as the players on the team will want to keep their jobs and do everything in their power to impress their new head coach who will be looking to make changes.

No doubt the Jets will draft Lawrence if they get the number one pick, but if Lawrence says he doesn't want to go there then the Jets will have no option but work out a deal with another team, like what happened with Elway and Eli Manning. Matt is right, Lawrence has a lot of leverage and can make demands before he signs with any club. Apparently he's that good. I'm told he is the best quarterback (yawn) to come out of college since Andrew Luck. I personally think Sam Darnold is good enough to win a at least 2-3 games for the Jets. I can see Lawrence in burgandy and gold, the Washington offense can't win no games this season, there is no decent quarterback and the offensive line is the worst in the league.

The site we use forgot two games and have now added them. Just wanted everyone to know so they can get their picks in. 14 Games this week, not 12.

I have still picked 2 upsets which are not upsets. In fact, one of the 'favourites' that I picked, could arguably be considered an upset instead.

I think I have like five or six upsets by the site. Still don't understand how they have the Chiefs as an underdog.

Especially after Buffalo lost by 26.

I have five upset picks although I do not understand how Kansas City are not favourites against Buffalo. I've been watching the NFL for over forty years and top teams who lose unexpectedly like the Chiefs come back the following week and take it out on the team they play next.

What did Buffalo do last week to make them favourites apart from lose. Not sure why the 49rs are underdogs either, all the Rams did last week was beat Washington. San Francisco will be looking to get back on track a well.

I think the LAR @ SF one is simply due to how awful San Francisco are. They conceded 9 scores, at home, to a bottom-8 team on talent. That game was extremely tough for me to tip. LA Rams may appear favourites, but on paper San Francisco are possibly the better team, even with the injuries they have. It will all depend on how San Francisco play.

My guess is that the betting agencies have stupidly joined the hype surrounding Buffalo. To me Buffalo are still a wildcard team, yet you'd think that they are SB contenders and that Allen is the MVP favourite based on the media's reaction.

Buffalo have surprised me this year but I feel they are still not good enough to stop Mahommes and the Chiefs who will feel embarrased losing to an average team like the Raiders at home last week.

The Raiders are starting to look good, especially their quarterback who is playing decent football this year. If Gruden gets behind Carr the Raiders have got the personel to upset any team in the NFL on any given day as they did last week against Kansas City away from home.

Why have the 49rs having a bad season, last year their defense was great. Garapollo will be on the hot seat if he loses too many more games. I never rated him anyway, his claim t fame was being Tom Brady's backup in New England, mediocre at best in my opinion.

It's the Superbowl slump. Quite often at least 1 team that made the Conference Championship game will have an awful season the next year. In the off-season I predicted SF, and it has come true. In 2019/20 very few people thought SF would make the playoffs, let alone lead 20-10 in the SB. The season before it was LA Rams who collapsed. The season before that it was Jacksonville and Philly. And so on with Atlanta.

Yes, there's always been a slump the following year for at least one of the four top teams, it goes back decades. The problem is Kansas City can't afford a Super Bowl slump after guaranteeing Mahomes half a billion dollars. They Chiefs need to win at leas another three Super Bowls under Mahomes to get their money back. It the Chiefs are not a Super Bowl dynasty in the next few years it will be wasted money regardless of how well Mahomes plays.

Plus a ton of injuries.

Yeah, the 49ers have been devastated by injuries and Jimmy G hasn't been great. Luckily they can move on from him after this year with relatively little in dead money, hes got no guarantees on the next 2 years of his contract.

They have a very difficult schedule from here on out. SO if they don't have good QB Play from this point on, they could be in the running for Fields or Lance.
