I was going to mention Ryan, but I reconsidered since he's aging fast. I could see Dak working if they can get a real RB. They have a decent OL, and once healthy, they'll have a good receiving core of Samuel, Aiyuk and Kittle. Say they get Dak and draft Etienne - they'd wouldn't be half bad. But I get it: Jimmy to Dak seems like a lateral move.
Reminder that Dak is going to get a huge payday - even with the injury - likely to the tune of $10-12m a year more than Jimmy G is currently getting. And Trent Williams, Nick Bosa, and Fred Warner will all be getting extensions in the next couple years, and Kittles extension kicks in. They could make Dak work but the cap will be an issue, as it is with every decent team.
Garrett Gilbert is starting for Dallas on the weekend. Does anyone here remember AAF (the version of XFL). He was by far the best QB in that competition before it got shut down due to lack of funding. It will be interesting to see whether that competition helped him improve, and how he goes in a full NFL game.
Christian McCaffrey is also back for Carolina. They've actually gone well without him, so having him back could make Carolina an unlikely playoff contender...
Dennis - NY Giants WR Golden Tate is out for NYG @ WAS. That hurts an already weak Giants team.

They will lose despite which backup they play. Does not matter.
The Panthers would have to win 6-8 out if their final eight to get in. Not happening. Saints, Bucs, Packers, Bears, Cardinals, Seahawks, Rams and East Winners are fighting for the seven spots.
Did anyone think the Giants were gonna win on the road after a short week? Tate wasnt gonna tip the scales.
Um, me, actually. Lol. The Giants have this sneaky way of sticking around in games. Funny enough, my NYG pick is the only difference among all 4 of us in these 1pm games.
Steelers currently down vs Dallas with Gilbert playing well and Big Ben maybe? hurt. I think Pitt will pull it off but again, wouldn't be surprised if Dallas stays on top.
Was hoping Smith could lead the comeback, but he's way rusty after two years. Giants didn't deserve to win after having five takeaways and only winning by three. That's pretty pitiful.
Surprised the Seahawks got murdered. Was close to pulling the Bills trigger, but I decided to play it safe. If the Dolphins lose to the Cardinals, the Seahawks will have only defeated teams that are .500 or worse. Hmm...
Wow, that game was crazy. The Steelers only won because of a few costly penalties by Jaylon Smith on the Cowboys. Garrett Gilbert was decent, you can't expect much more out of a random callup. Again the Steelers play down and barely win, they're a very weak 8-0 team IMO and could easily be 5-3.
Nice win for the Dolphins too, I was really close to taking them.
I should've listened to Dennis with his thoughts on Washington. Boy, that was such a winnable game. Imagine if Smith only threw 2INTs?
Tennessee were extremely unconvincing.
Minnesota aren't out of the playoff race yet.
Carolina lead 14-3, and missed 2FGs in a 2-point loss.
Jacksonville 6th round pick Jake Luton was very impressive, passing at 26/38 (68%) for 304 yards, 1TD & 1INT in a 25-27 loss. They missed the game-tying 2XP.
Indy and Rivers got exposed.
I will say it again. Seattle are going NOWHERE with that defense.
Atlanta almost choked a 27-6 lead against Denver, but managed to hang on.
LA Chargers scored the game-winning TD for a 32-31 win, coming back from a 17-28 deficit, only for it to be reversed.
The Dogs returned this week, winning 24-19 after trailing 0-13 against the woeful Cowboys. Garret Gilbert (the AAF GOAT) played well considering who he is.
Tampa Bay were losing 0-38 to New Orleans, at home, before a garbage time FIELD GOAL. That is something new. It was 0-31 at HT. Brady threw 0TDs and 3INTs.
Miami beat Arizona away from home 34-31 after trailing 24-31 at 3QT. This time the offense did very well and the defense awful. Arizona missed a 49-yard game-tying FG with 1 minute left. Tua passed at 20/28 (71%) for 248 yards, 2TDs & 0INTs. From the highlights, he looked very comfortable out there. Miami's kicker, Jason Sanders, is going to the Pro Bowl. He has made 17/17 FGs (100%) and 21/21 XPs (100%).

Should have gone with my gut feeling and taken NY Giants and Miami. I was only 2 yards out on what I predicted what Tua's output would be, I even predicted he'd get 2 touchdowns, this is annoying. The reason I thought Tua would do well this week because last week he was only asked to manage the game after Miami's defense jumped the Dolphins in front in the second quarter.
Although Tua got outplayed by Kyler Murray who had a great day Miami fans must be getting excited. James Lofton the Hall of Fame wide reciever and now analyst on CBS' broadcast, remarked Tagovailoa was 'super accurate outside the pocket'. Another analyst said Tua looked like a cross between Drew Brees and Steve Young. However, Tua was lucky on two occasions when plays got called back otherwise he would have an interception to his name and maybe not in a position to win the game.
No, Dennis, your Washington Pick was wise. If they hadn't had five turnovers, they easily would've won the game. The Giants had five takeaways, and they only won by a field goal. That's terrible.
Miami played well, but I'm still no sold on them reaching the playoffs. The defense that was incredible just gave up 30+ Points, which isn't good regardless of not matching up well. If they can take care of the Chargers and Broncos in the coming weeks, like everyone is now expecting, then my views will change.
I'm getting a bit suspicious with the way the Redksins are losing, it seems to be a stupid bonehead play at the end of the game. It's almost as if they have been told to throw the game, twice now I've seen this happen against the NY Giants this season alone.
Love the way Tua throws the ball, like lasers. I haven't seen that since John Elway in his prime during the mid 80's. Makes Brady's throws look like they are traveling in slow motion.
This time had more to do with Smith being as rusty as one can be. His TD in the game was his first since 2018. That's crazy for professional sports.
Tua reminds me more of Steve Young, but that has more to do with him being a lefty. Everyone compared him to a cross between Brees and Wilson, but neither of them have ever had that sort of velocity. Lasers is a proper description.
