Robinson is a nice player. I don't think he's on the same level as a lot of number 1 receivers in the league but that could also be a result of bad QB play. JuJu Smith Schuster will also likely be available and he thrives in places where another receiver can take a lot of the heat off. Look at his stats when Antonio Brown was on the Steelers vs this year. Mclaurin could serve that role for him. Though I think he'll command too much money for his production.

If I was the Skins and I sign Scherff, Brown and Gilmore, I would be WAY happy. Could use #19 on a WR or trade back a little and get the fourth or fifth best one in the draft (this class is deep after the Top 3). If they could do all of that and then trade for Jimmy G or Darnold, they would easily be a contender next year.

I like Darnold but I don't see how he elevates any QB needy team to contender. He hasn't proven a thing and not all of his issues can be blamed on the Jets. I think he's got potential but I don't think he can just step in somewhere and make a fringe playoff team into a contender.

With the right coach, I think Darnold could see a huge boost in his stats. He basically made the Jets as good as they even were these past couple of years. I think they were winless when he was hurt over his tenure with the team.

Meh. He was decent at best in 2019. I agree he's got potential but I think he needs to go to the perfect team for it.

Dak has re-signed with the Cowboys, as I expected.
4yr/$160MM, $164MM max // $126MM gtd.
No-trade clause, no-tag provision.

Also $66MM signing bonus and $75MM in Y1 (NFL records).

About what I expected.

As expected. The year one numbers are pretty crazy, but everything else is as expected. And that is why the Cowboys should have signed him before the Mahomes deal.

The Dolphins have traded a 2021 7th Rounder to the Titans for a 2022 7th Rounder & 2020 1st Rounder OT Wilson. Wilson never fit in Tennessee, only playing three snaps due to off the field issues and COVID. The Titans were going to release him anyway after their earlier statements of him and his passion to stay on the straight and narrow.

If Wilson doesn't pan out, Miami isn't losing much. Huge boom potential though if Flores can reach the kid and get the most out of him. Wilson went to the same high school as Flores, and he also played at Georgia with current Miami Dolphins Guard Kindley. Perhaps to helps the kids revive his career. Only downside is Miami now won't have a pick in this draft after the 4th Round; they desperately need the Jets to draft Wilson or Sewell and then trade down for loads of picks (while still getting one of the Top 3 WRs).

No real lose for the Titans, potential gain for the Dolphins. I doubt he plays much and probably won't end up making the team but if he can get his issues straightened out he could be a nice player.

Big boom if he gets his act together. Big if, yes, but it would fill a huge need. Kid has potential. Hopefully Flores can help him find himself and love for the game. If he pans out, it will be a huge loss for the Titans. They still have the hole left by Conklin at RT, and it is never good to lose out on a first rounder (all the more so after just one year).

Redskins tagged Scherff. Hoping to still sign him long term.

The Houston Texans want to trade DeShaun Watson for Kyler Murray. Apparently Murray is a lengend in Texas as he played is college football there. Shannen Sharp thinks for that deal to take place the Cardinals would also have to add x3 number ones. Am I missing something, I don't think Watson is that much better than Murray, in fact in a couple of years Murray could be the better quarterback.

Cowboys must be gutted, if they hadn't fluffed about and delayed proceedings they could have got Prescott a lot cheaper.

Cards will not trade Murray. Watson is better, but not by much. If it was player for player, then maybe. But Houston wants too much regardless.

Patriots decided to not tag Guard Thuney. They probably knew they could not afford him. Instead, they get OT Brown back from the Raiders for basically nothing and at a reconstructed contract. Brown only played well as a Patriot so it makes sense, Raiders save close to 15 million in cap because of it.

Not a bad trade for either team, I guess. Raiders need some space to stack up on defense and the Pats need to rework their line in anticipation of a new QB.

I agree with you Warrior13, Deshaun Watson is better at this moment but I think Murray has a chance to be better. There were a three or four games this season I saw the cardinals play and I was impressed with the way he played. The Cardinals are quietly becoming a decent team. It's not an easy division they are in either. If they hadn't of lost their last two games they would have been 10-6. No way would I give the Texans 3 number ones and Muray, Shannon Sharpe rates DeShaun Watson a lot higher than I do. Granted, the guy put up some great numbers last year, but the team was 4-12. He's never won a Super Bowl and only won 1 playoff game. I'm beginning to wonder what all the fuss is about.

Mike: Yeah, win/win for both. Pats may have got the better of the trade by a little, but when factoring in that they will likely lose Thuney in free agency, I saw even overall for both.

Dennis: I'm not quite sure Murray will be better than Watson. The more I watch Murray play, the more I think he's approaching his ceiling. He's already a good player, but I don't see him improving anywhere outside his decision making. The older he gets, the slower we will get. He's also a small dude, so I doubt his arm will get anything stronger. What you see is what you get: a great fit for high octane offense that doesn't have that great of an offense line. They can definitely win with that system, I mean the likes of Jared Goff and Nice Foles have been able to lead a team to the super bowl when in the right system.

Watson is definitely another tier of player than Watson but hes not so much worse to be worth 3 firsts. Murray is plenty good enough for them to compete as long as they can shore up their offensive line and add another player in the secondary. Especially when you consider the offense is built around Murray, the coach handpicked and loves him, I don't really see a trade happening.

Exactly.

Man, the Bucs tagged Godwin AND resign David while constructing the contract not to be a big cap hit this next year. They might actually be able to resign all their guys now.

Titans releasing Malcolm Butler. He'll have a lot of interest.

Bears franchise tagged Allen Robinson as well, so he's off the market. Still a strong market for WRs though, Kenny Golladay and Corey Davis are available among others.

Butler will get a nice deal somewhere, though he's already 31.

I would just wait for draft to get WR now that Robinson is off the market. Deep class and much cheaper than signing.

Butler on market. Gilmore up for trade. Quality CBs out there if a team needs one.

The Washington Football club drafted WR Gandy Golden last year in the 4th round, haven't heard anything about him since he contracted Covid. At 6-4 and 220 pounds the guy is a physical nightmare for a small cornerback.

I think Washington will focus on offensive line and linebacker if the get the quarterback position sorted out before the draft.

The salary cap is going to be 182.5m in 2021, down from 198.2 in 2020, and the expected was supposed to be around 210m. A lot of teams have structured contracts assuming the cap will go up about 10m a year, so this is going to be a bloodbath.
