In the space of three weeks I?ve gone from 1st place to last. Teams keep winning games where on paper it looks like a mismatch.

Herbert is starting to remind me of Dan Marino but with a slower release, Josh Allen is starting to remind me of Jim Kelly. And Joe Burrow is starting to remind me of Joe Montana.

I see Mahones is starting to take some flack because of his reckless play, he is being compared to Brett Favre.

I've said for years that Mahomes gets away with a lot of bad throws because he has the arm to make up for it. Making the occasional crazy throw is fine, but when you get in the habit of doing it, your footwork pays the price. If he would just get his feet set more often, he would find he doesn't need the acrobatic throws. Dude can throw it eight-five yards when his feet are set.

Yeah, Mahomes isn't getting away with as much this year. Stuff like that no-look interception he threw last week. Sometimes he tries to do just a little too much especially when he doesn't trust his protection. That said, having Brett Favre be noted as a theoretical floor for your career is nothing to sneeze at.

I do not know if I would say Favre is even a fair comparison as they play two completely different styles. I am not sure Mahomes is a true gunslinger, but then again, he is hard to describe. Certain parts of his game remind me of different players. The different angles is unique, but Marino and Rivers had a fierce side arm action at times. I would say his arm strength is similar to Favre, but the latter knew better than to not have his feet set. Honestly, I have to go back to college ball to find a guy that Mahomes reminds me a lot of about: Colt Brennan. Dude could do some insane things with the ball, but Mahomes easily has the stronger one of the two. Obviously he is unique; he has to be if people now compare draft prospects to him (Love was said to have the Mahomes angles, Wilson was literally nicknamed the Mormon Mahomes because of the throws he can make).

Cowboys cutting former Pro Bowl LB Jaylon Smith. Patriots cutting Pro Bowl CB Stephen Gilmore.

Wow. Two good players, the latter far better, suddenly on the market.

Smith has been pretty terrible this year. And Gilmore is a year removed from tearing his quad and still hasn't played this year and wants a big extension. Apparently they've traded him to Carolina for a conditional 6th round pick before he actually got released.

Any idea what the FBI are doing at Washington? I know one of the coaches is involved and it?s not football related, so what are they looking for at the training complex? The obvious answer is PEDs but I think it?s something else. Taylor Heineke was on the Pat McAfee show yesterday and McAfee told him not to say a word about what was happening and Ron Rivera bluntly said ?no comment? when he was asked. Sounds pretty ominous to me, just what Washington needs, another scandal. I hope it is PEDs and not something a lot more serious.

Kyler Murray is favorite to win MVP this year, people actually think the Cardinals have a shot at the Super Bowl after what they did to the Rams.

Aaron Rogers wants to play for the Steelers next season, I can see that happening.

Looks like the Trey Lance era has started in San Francisco now that Garrapollo is injured.

Gilmore going for a 6th round draft choice seems a bit low, I wish Washington had of picked him up and not Carolina.

Not sure what to make of the Jaylon Smith cut. Mica Parsons must look outstanding.!

Last I heard was they were investigating one of the executives and it had nothing to do with the actual team or players. I don't think the FBI would get involved for PEDs.

Great move by the Panthers. Horn goes down, so they trade for former 1st Henderson and Pro Bowler Gilmore. I don't think it gets them beyond the Wild Card Round this year (if that), but if they can retain both moving forward with Horn for only a 2nd and 3rd Day Pick, that's a huge steal.

That'll probably depend on what Gilmore wants going forward. Rumor was he wanted to play in Green Bay. If he plays well the rest of the year he's going to want top money.

I doubt he will want to go there after Rodgers leaves. lol

He will not be getting big money, at least not astronomical. He is already 31.

Wrong side of 30, coming off a major quad injury. He's probably delusional enough to still want it but nobody will be paying. I'm sure that's why the Pats cut their losses now instead of in the offseason.

He'll get a reality check in the offseason. He's just too old for a CB to get a huge deal. Maybe a 3yr/30mil. Anything more wouldn't be wise considering age and injury history.

I made my picks. Yahoo says I only have two upsets, but, per usual, it feels like more than that.

Yahoo is never right Warrior13, they always get three to five wrong each week. Trying to figure out which games they are is the problem.

Myles Garrett is now being regularly tested for steroids after he decided to wear a cut of shirt in last week's game. He's not happy as these inspectors have been known to knock on your door 3am in the morning for a sample.

I can't see what will stop Aaron Rodgers going to the Steelers at the end of the season now he has played out his obligation to the Packers.

Rivera, the other coaches and players probably know, as Pat McAfee alluded to, but everyone is keeping quiet. Not even a rumor has emerged from the club, which makes me think it is something very serious.

The Steelers make no sense for Rodgers. Better RB, WRs, and OL atm than the Steelers, and a far easier division. If Rodgers wants to go somewhere that he could push over the top, it would be the Broncos. He would probably also do wonders for the Saints and Dolphins, but he doesn't want that. If he is on any team besides the Broncos next year, I would be surprised.

Yeah, not sure where this Rodgers to Pitt stuff is coming from. He doesn't make much sense for them, he probably wouldn't be enough to take them deep into the playoffs. Would just be delaying the rebuild another year.

Matt picked the upset tonight. Either he will have a two game lead going into Sunday or we will have a three way tie.

Looks like it'll be a tie. Wilson did something to his finger and Geno Smith is in.

Gross dislocation. Might need some time in a splint. It has been a while since I have seen only a finger tip dislocated like that.

Yeah that was gross. Geno Smith played pretty well though.
