Some terrible playcalling there at the end for the Cowboys and an even greater misunderstanding of the rules. I don't necessarily disagree with that call to make it a 30 yard hail mary instead of a 50, but you've got to do that with about 5 more seconds on the clock and slide about 5 yards earlier. A really bad game for Dak and the Cowboys overall, just terribly undisciplined. You can't win giving up 14 penalties.

Potential tough days ahead coming up for the Cowboys who have quite a bit of money invested in Dak, Elliot, and Demarcus Lawrence specifically. They are kind of stuck with Dak and Elliot at least through next year. Lawrence has no more guarantees in his contract but does have a lot of dead money attached and some void years that I'm unsure how they work.

No real surprise in Steelers Chiefs. Steelers couldn't get it going in the first half just like every other game this season, despite a strong start for the defense. Oh well. A nice end for Ben's career. Pretty incredible the team has never had a losing record during his career. I've truly been spoiled as a fan.

That makes it 4 out of 5 games where the wild card team lost this weekend. I don't know if I'm the biggest fan of the additional playoff team, it really just seems like an opportunity for the #2 seeds to crush the #7s.

I wonder if McCarthy gets canned now. Earning the third seed is no easy task, but you were down big at home and lose on a bad call. Plus, there are some good (better) coaches available imo. Flores, Behenimy, Nagy, Peterson, and Harbaugh all seem head and shoulders better to me.

Ben gave it his all, he has nothing left to give. Cannot ask for anything more.

Has McCarthy ever really been a great coach? He was OC in New Orleans on a few mediocre teams with Aaron Brooks at QB, then OC in SF for Alex Smith's rookie year, then he took over in Green Bay and had Favre for 2 years then had Rodgers carrying him. Seems like he got the job based entirely on his QBs talent. I'd make the argument only making it to one SB with talent like Rogers is a mark against him.

Gutsy pick Dennis. If San Francisco lost, you probably would've been too far away. You've now joined me and Warrior in the lead!

Dennis is also dominating the playoffs yet again. 5-0, with a chance at going 6-0. He always wins the playoff competition lol.

Mike: Completely agree. I would can him, but Jerry holds on to his coaches for too long. Even if he went against the grain, he would probably just promote Kellen Moore. lol

Matt: I am just glad to only have one loss at this point. I usually do horrible in the playoffs. lol

Some teams are going to hire Kellen Moore and Dan Quinn and be very disappointed.

Dennis went with the Cards! He will either be winning or back to being a game back after tonight!

Cardinals got blown out, what happened to that Cardinal team that looked so good at the start of the season? I was hoping Kyler Murray would play well, unfortunately for me he didn't. I don't like the Rams, I'm not convinced by them although you can't argue with no turnovers and only one sack allowed.

Poor decision Dennis. Arizona have been in poor form for a while. That loss now takes them to 1-5 I believe in their last 6 games. Work to do again. But 1/2 upset picks isn't bad.

Amazing to think one of Tennessee and Cincinnati will be playing in the AFC Championship game. What an opportunity, considering KC and Buffalo are the better teams and will play each other. Also great to see 2 teams I dislike (Tampa Buy and LA Rams) playing against each other.

Tampa Bay against L.A. Rams is not easy to predict, I'll have to have a think about that one. Tampa Bay is the obvious choice but the Rams play error free football which will make them difficult to beat plus the Rams defense looks half decent.

Rough game for Arizona.

I've gotta say the AFC is looking more fun to me. We've got 3 teams that don't usually see much success against the powerhouse Chiefs. Then in the NFC we've got the Packers and Rams who always hang around, then Tom Brady, and then the 49ers who never seem to win but always seem to be around.

If the Super Bowl is not between the Packers and the Chiefs I'll be surprised. Mahomes takes another loss against a future Hall of Famer.

That's my prediction too but I'd much rather have one of the other AFC teams get to the SB. I'm already getting Chiefs/Mahomes fatigue, especially after they anointed him as a "future hall of famer" that'll win 5 SBs at the last super bowl.

You and me both steelersrock01, I would rather see Josh Allen and the Bills in the Super Bowl as I don't think the Chiefs defense will stand up to Aaron Rogers and the Packers. I can't see Mahomes winning 5 Super Bowls, maybe two or three but I can also see him losing a couple along the way, the second of which will be against the Packers in a few weeks time.

The latest mock drafts have Washington selecting Mark Willis, is he any good?

Green Bay will choke to Tampa Buy in the NFC Championship game. As good as Aaron Rodgers is, he has played in 1 Superbowl in his career, and that was as the #6 seed.

Matt: And that's only if the Packers defeat the 49ers. ;)

Dennis: Was that Mel Kiper's mock? Willis is definitely not going to be QB1, but he has speed and a cannon arm. Pickett, per reports, will be QB1 and will likely be Top 5. If Washington doesn't trade up to get him, Willis makes sense at #11 (or even as a trade back).

Mike: My dad is a Chiefs fan, so I am obligated to root for them at this point. XD XD XD

The Athletic's mock draft has no QB in the top 10 with Pickett going #11 to Washington, Corral going #18 to New Orleans, and Howell going #20 to Pittsburgh. Probably a dream scenario for Washington if they're set on a QB. They have Willis going at #43 to the Falcons as QB5.

Willis is definitely a boom or bust prospect. Has a cannon and wheels, but dude cannot read defenses and struggles at times with accuracy.

Pickett is the safe pick. Above average everything.

Corral is a good athlete, but his arm is so-so.

Howell has a strong arm, but is inconsistent.

Strong has good traits, but comes from smaller school. Poor mans Pickett.

Sounds like a crapshoot. None of them are clear cut. From the highlight reels I've seen I like Malik Willis, he looks like a combination of Mahomes and Jackson. The strength he has is ridiculous, a flick of his wrist and the ball travels 50 yards in the air.

I was aware of Malik Willis before the Mel Kiper mock. I started investigating Willis when I saw him go to Washington in the mock.

I consider him more of a Jackson than Mahomes. Both struggled to read defenses in college, and though the arm is strong, it's not always the most accurate.

Like I said, he is boom or bust. And because it is a crapshoot, as you said, Pickett is rising.
