Some terrible playcalling there at the end for the Cowboys and an even greater misunderstanding of the rules. I don't necessarily disagree with that call to make it a 30 yard hail mary instead of a 50, but you've got to do that with about 5 more seconds on the clock and slide about 5 yards earlier. A really bad game for Dak and the Cowboys overall, just terribly undisciplined. You can't win giving up 14 penalties.
Potential tough days ahead coming up for the Cowboys who have quite a bit of money invested in Dak, Elliot, and Demarcus Lawrence specifically. They are kind of stuck with Dak and Elliot at least through next year. Lawrence has no more guarantees in his contract but does have a lot of dead money attached and some void years that I'm unsure how they work.
No real surprise in Steelers Chiefs. Steelers couldn't get it going in the first half just like every other game this season, despite a strong start for the defense. Oh well. A nice end for Ben's career. Pretty incredible the team has never had a losing record during his career. I've truly been spoiled as a fan.
That makes it 4 out of 5 games where the wild card team lost this weekend. I don't know if I'm the biggest fan of the additional playoff team, it really just seems like an opportunity for the #2 seeds to crush the #7s.
