It makes sense to me for Detroit to go all-in-on one of the quarterbacks in next years draft, in fact I'd give them good odds on getting the first pick.

Yeah, they will for sure be going after a QB. I don't think they'll be the worst team, I think the Jags and Texans have a better shot, but they'll be competing for it.

At the moment, the predicted draft order is Texans, Falcons, Lions, Jets, and Jags (in that order).

I currently have the following mock for that Top 5:
1) Houston - QB CJ Stroud (Ohio State)
2) Atlanta - QB Bryce Young (Alabama)
3) Detroit - QB Anthony Richardson (Florida)
4) New York - DE Will Anderson Jr. (Alabama)
5) Jacksonville - WR Jaxon Smith-Njigba (Ohio State)

I think the Jets will be a little better than that. They're doing the right things to surround Wilson with talent. And not the strongest division. Always end up going wrong though.

They are going to be the bottom three teams within the AFC, that is almost a guarantee. They have not completely closed the gap between them and the Phins and Pats. All of the AFC North is better. Titans and Colts are better. All of the AFC West is better. That only leaves the Jets, Jags and Texans.

Apparently, that is the thinking behind the current order. Some put Jets five, which is still bottom three in AFC. Honestly, I would be surprised if the Jets do not have a Top 8. Giants are the only NFC East team that I think could be down. Lions seem to be the only NFC North team that will struggle, but the Bears did nothing to help Fields. Panthers showed last year that Darnold + McCaffery works when healthy, but disaster when McCaffery is out. Falcons lost Matt Ryan, but Mariota should keep them above water in the weak NFC. Seattle will definitely be in the bottom.

Yeah all that checks out. You never know how Washington is going to be either. The Bears have the potential to be awful. Other than that I think your bottom 5 is pretty likely, as you said the Giants might sneak in there too. Hard to say with the strong AFC but someone has to lose the games.

Jets might make some noise this year, Zack Wilson now has NFL experience and the team has added some potentially elite players in key positions. If everything clicks early they could surprise a few people and win games. Still think they will end up around the 6-11 mark though.

If the Wentz experiment is a disaster Washington are in trouble and could end up in the bottom ten. NFL teams know Heinecke's limitations now and expose them when he plays. Why they went out and got Wentz, he gives them a deep game. Howell is nowhere near ready.

Yeah, I cannot guess the order of which, but here are my Bottom 9:
Jets
Jaguars
Texans
Giants
Falcons
Panthers
Seahawks
Lions
Bears

Steelers could be way down this year if Trubisky or Pickett are crud, but I think they will probably be middle of the pack. Niners could also be way down if they trade Jimmy G and Lance struggles.

Steelers are a pretty good all round team, I think they will be a middle of the pack team.

I see Tua is still getting flak, now it's his 'weak' arm, apparently he keeps throwing behind Tyreek Hill because he is so fast. I think this is garbage, Tua had some fast receivers to throw to in college and it wasn't a problem. Also, he couldn't do the tire training where the quarterback has to throw the ball through a tire. I find this all very strange, there's like a smear campaign out on the guy.

It was a bad pass in the video, but it is just spring training. Tua was literally throwing in just warm up gear and a sun hat. lol

I know, the guy makes one bad pass and he gets crucified. I can't wait to see what these same critics will say when Miami puts together a decent season and Tua has top 10 quarterback stats. I'm starting to wonder if all this negativity towards Tua has something to do with pushing him out the door in order to justify going after Brady.

Yeah, Tua gets a weird amount of hate for seemingly no reason. IDK if it's the "tank for Tua" stuff and people aren't happy he hasn't knocked it out of the park or what, but it's kinda weird.

Don't these people realise Tua had four superb wide recievers to throw to while he was in college. It's like playing for an NFL team where your receivers are Devante Adams, Cooper Kupp, Justin Jefferson, and Ja'Marr Chase, it would be difficult to not put up big numbers. What's sad about it all is that Tua seems like a decent young man from what I have seen of him in interviews. It's almost as if he's getting bullied for some strange reason. I'd trade Wentz for Tua in an instant, Miami fans should get behind him and make him the face of the franchise.

I think people forget he had hip surgery only like two years ago. He should have never played in his rookie year, and the Watson chatter pretty much ruined last year (which Tua concluded with like seven straight wins). And we have not even talked about how horrible the OL and Run Game was during that same two year span.

I doubt very few would have thrived in that environment.

That's right Warrior13, the guy had little chance of succeeding. People have already forgotten how well he played towards the end of last season, if that progress continues he has a chance to overtake Justin Herbert who visibly declined last year from his rookie year.

I just hope he plays well, because if he does not, he will be out. The Phins have upgraded the O-Line, added Hill, signed two capable RBs, and kept together their Top 10 Defense. Tua has to produce.

I think he will and shut a lot of people up in the process. The team is definately made some moves to help him but like you say its up to him now to show that he was worth the investment.

Wow, the Eagles got James Bradberry on a nice 1 year deal. He's a solid CB next to Slay. Eagles defense is looking pretty strong.

Eagles are clearly the #1 team in NFC East now. Shoot, I might even put the Cowboys third behind Washington, who should be better with Wentz.

How funny would it be if the Cowboys go from first to worst? It would mean the Giants have to pull it together, but I'd laugh so hard.

I don't think the Cowboys are a bad team really, but I do think their window to compete was pretty much just last year.
