Washington was in the market for James Bradberry, I wonder why they didn't get him, he originally played for the Panthers and Washington seems to be picking up all of Rivera's old teams players. A decent one comes along and we miss out, I don't get it.

Who wins the NFC East depends on Wentz, if Washington get the Philadelphia Super Bowl year Wentz they will win the division otherwise they are the cellar dwellers. Cowboys always put together wins and fall apart at the playoffs.

I have the Eagles right now winning the East, but it all depends on Hurts. If he doesn't make the leap and Wentz doesn't make too many boneheaded mistakes, Washington should win the division. Dallas could always grease the division, but I really think they are looking like 9-8.

I'm expecting Dallas to start fast like they do every year and their supporters telling the world it's their Super Bowl year, but I think Washington will also start fast this year as they have two easy games to begin with. Philadelphia look good on paper, not sure if Hurts is good enough to lead them though to be honest. I think Wentz and Prescott are better quarterbacks but not by much. I still think if Wentz finds his groove early and feels he is Washington's man and it's his job to lose he will perform and Washington win the East followed by the Cowboys and then Philadelphia.

If Wentz just do not make too many mistakes, Washington will definitely be in play for the division title. Anything can happen after that.

Indianapolis have signed Nick Foles to a two year contract, has he just been brought in to back up Matt Ryan or has he beenh signed to give him competition.

Seattle Seahawks and Carolina Panthers are both interested in Baker Mayfield, problem is the Browns want more for him than what either team are prepared to give. Mayfield isn't even turning up for pre season training because of the attention it will bring with him and Watson on the field together.

Foles is definitely just there as a backup/veteran presence.

Why even sign him? Pointless if you ask me. Ryan is never hurt, and those two younger guys seem sufficient. Foles made more sense in Philly, just in case Hurts struggles.

Only problem with Foles in Philly is you know the goofy Philly fans would be screaming for him to start immediately.

They may have a point, the guy won a Super Bowl for them so knows how to win. Hurts is a bit of an unknown commodity, nobody knows how his nerve will hold if the Eagles managed to get to a Championship game.

I must admit I thought it was strange bringing him in as a back-up, I can't remember the last time Matt Ryan missed a game. Just checked it out and in his career Matt Ryan has played an average of 15.9 games a season. Now I'm wondering why the Colts invested money in Foles when it could have been used elsewhere. I'm sure the reason will come out when the season starts.

It's not a big contract, and having a veteran guy like that to run practices and be a mentor type can be a huge boon.

I guess, I still think they would have been better off investing the money they spent on Foles trying to get a wide receiver for Pitman.

Minnesota's Jeff Gladney had died in a car crash.

'On May 30, 2022, Gladney and his girlfriend were killed in a car accident in Dallas, Texas, at 2:30 AM. Police reports indicated his Mercedes SUV clipped a car while travelling at an excessive rate of speed; the car then spun off the road, crashed into a brick wall, and ignited into flames. He was 25'

I didn't think cars ignited into flames suddenly on impact. The crashes I have seen there was just a radiator leak and mangled metal. To explode into flames before they could get out sounds a bit dubious.

I saw that, that's a shame. I always expect drinking when it's late at night and speeding, but very sad for him, his girlfriend, and their families.

He had a lot of potential coming out of college, but he had off the field concerns. Hurt his playing career. I was hoping to see what he could do with the Cards.

The talk coming out of Washingtons camp is they are expecting 12-13 wins this season. Apparently the offense has been looking spectacular, almost unstoppable. Making the defense look pedestrian in matches. There's about five rookies that are looking good, especially on offense. I can't wait for the new season to start.

If I was a betting man, I would say 9-8 or 10-7. Then again, 10-7 or 11-6 will likely with the NFC East, per usual.

I have then second to Philly at the moment, but if Wentz thrives and Hurts struggles, it could be Washington's division to lose.

12 or 13 wins would be a massive, massive success for Washington this year.

I can't see that many wins either steelersrock01, I'd be delighted if that happened though. I think Warrior13 is near the mark when he says 9-8, I can't see more wins than that to be honest. It all depends on Wentz, if the guy is rejuvenated and up for it he could be the missing link for Washington.

10-7 seems like the benchmark to guarantee a playoff berth for both conferences, so Washington should definitely shoot for that. Miami needs to the same, especially in the extremely deep AFC.

The following NFL players are looking for a team:

WR - Odell Beckham (Rams)
OT - Duane Brown (Seahawks)
OT - Eric Fisher (Colts)
Edge - Trey Flowers (Lions)
OLB - Justin Houston (Ravens)
CB - Jackrabbit Jenkins (Titans)
WR - Julio Jones (Titans)
DT - Linval Joseph (Chargers)

Nothing there for Washington to be honest, any players amongst that lot that you boys wouldn't mind seeing in a Dolphin or Steeler uniform?
