I will get Redzone when the season starts, but that is about it. I have no interest in watching the local, or what are considered to be, teams.

You guys misunderstood me, you can get Gamepass free at the moment. You don't have to sign up or leave your credit card details, you just give your email address and you will be able to watch every single NFL preseason game free.

I might do it, but the few games I have seen thus far have been extremely hard to watch.

Yeah I would almost rather not watch the preseason lol.

I do get Redzone in my cable package and it's fun but a little too hyper for me.

I know the preseason isn't great but it's free and gives me the opportunity see some of these highly touted rookies. After three games you can start to see which rookies are going to be impact players in the NFL. Brian Robinson Jr for Washington looks like he will be taking over from Antonio Gibson who is a 1,000 yards season runner... who unfortunately fumbles a lot and cost Washington a game or two last season. Sam Howell may be the franchise quarterback Washington have been looking for, the guy is already taking first team snaps in practice.

Any standout rookies for the Dolphins and Steelers yet, I hear Kenny Pickett is improving, so much so that he may start in two weeks, so much for Trubishky.

Had to laugh, the reason nobody wants to trade for Jimmy Garappollo is that since he got his big contract in 2018 he has been known to totally disappear of the radar during the offseason. Nobody, not even his team mates knows where he goes. Team mates also say Jimmy G is not a leader.

Well, considering Miami had four draft picks and all were outside the Top 100 draftees, no, none are really standing out. lol

Pickett's been pretty great and WR George Pickens looks like another standout in the Steelers WR factory. O line looks solid, not great but improved from last year. I think Pickett will be starting by midseason.

I knew Pickens would be great. He only dropped because of some character concerns, but Tomlin should help resolve that. Big and strong.

I am still a little hesitant on Pickett since it is preseason after all, but with that said, I think they should just start him. You drafted him in the 1st, why wait.

Tua and the Dolphins looked good against Eagles. Loved the 51 yard bomb Hill on the first play. The ball travelled 46 yards in the air. Hopefully Miami fans will see more of that when the season starts.

Is Kenny Pickett going to be another Joe Burrow? I personally don't thinks so but there are people out there already making comparisons.

Yeah, good game for Tua. The bomb to Hill was okay, definitely could've led him a little more. He needs to learn that Hill is so fast that you literally can just bomb the heck out the ball and he'll find a way to reach it.

Pickett was compared early-on as a cross between Burrow and Carr. I think he can have a good career with talent around him, but I think he is nearing his ceiling.

Pickett will be a good QB. Too much talent around him and the franchise is too stable for him to be really bad. I agree that he's probably never going to be setting the world on fire though.

Matt Araiza gets drafted in the sixth round of the NFL draft by Buffalo. Known as the punt god he punted the ball 84 yards in his first kick in a preseason game. Next thing you hear is he has been let go by the Bills because of his involvement in a gang rape. Apparently he spiked a 17 year old girls drink and then led her to a room where she was raped by twenty men.

Now I've just heard Washington rookie running back Brian Washington Jnr who has just beaten out Antonio Gibson has been shot. Thank fully he'll be OK but won't be playing any football for a while.

The world is going mad...

Russell Wilson got a huge contract. Not sure the best thing when your trying win now, but okay.

Russell Wilson hasn't even proven himself in Denver yet, a bit premature that contract in my opinion. If I were the Broncos I would have waited until the end of the season and used it as a measuring stick.

Yeah, I completely agree. I know they had extend him, obviously, but first see how this season goes. Might have been able to get him to take less if they had gone far.

He's also seemed to drop off a bit, and he'll be 40 by the end of that contract. Crazy deal.

I agree, I think the Seahawks got the best years out of Wilson. The Broncos are hoping that they can continue playing at a high level into his early 40s.

The NFL is just turning into a quarterbacks game, unless you are the signal caller of your team the money you earn will be considerably less, you are basically a bit player. I wonder how long this trend continues before the other players wake up and realize there is only one person on the team making mega bucks and it is cutting into their earnings each year. There is a next tier of players that make good money like the star wide receivers and defensive ends but after that the last tier of players are just fighting over scraps.

What I am basically saying is that I feel paying the big money only to the quarterback is ruining the game. The guy doesn't even put his body on the line like some of the other positional players with all these protecting the quarterback rules that keep getting added.

I mean, the QB is at least 2 or 3x more important than the next most important player. Everybody is making crazy money - it's just the salary cap rising making the numbers seem crazy. I'm not going to dig into the research, but I'd bet the QBs now are getting a similar % of the salary cap than they were in the past?

Anyway, would would other players do about it? Not play?
