NFL - Discussion Thread

Guys, are we doing the Yahoo pickem this year? not sure who set it up last year.

Put me down, I love doing that each year. It's what makes following the NFL interesting for me on a Sunday night. I can't remember who set it up either, it used to be Matt but I seem to recall Warrior13 having something to do with it last year.

Chicago are moving to Arlington Heights, that's going to sound strange, I automatically think Soldier Field when the Bears come to mind. Apparently Arlington Heights is going to get casino's and all sorts of hotels in preparation for the move. One city's gain is another city's loss.

I see Lamar Jackson is making noise about moving from the Ravens, I take it that means his contract negotiations aren't going well.

Matt has usually done it. Just emailed him to see if he will be the one reactivating it. Tried entering last year?s credentials on Yahoo, but it said wrong password (guessing they have you reset it each year).

If I do not hear from him, I will make a new one. But I am sure he will reply in the next day or so.

I hope so, Oceania needs someone to represent them in the competition. I hope Matt's OK, I haven't seen any posts from him in quite a while.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure the league needs to be reset each year. Kinda dumb. I'm sure Matt's doing well.

I have been well. There was also a pretty significant event that happened for me (a good one). Just busy with work and post-grad studies. My latest unit finished last week, so I have a few weeks off to get into the swing of the NFL season.

Warrior13, if the previous seasons are anything to go by Week 1 of the NFL season is the time to go crazy as there's usually upsets all over the place.

I dug myself in a hole in Week 1 the last two years. Better to play it safe with only an upset or two.

Just a few upsets for me.

Decent game so far. I don't think I can stay up for the whole thing. Seems like the Bills should be dominating but the Rams are sticking in it.

Not sure. Would be nice if he can.

Yeah, Rams should probably be shut out right now. If not for Cook fumbling on his first rush and two ints that were more on the WRs than Josh Allen, this game would have been over at the half.

Well, that ended up a solid win. Gotta say I wasn't expecting so much out of the Bills D.

Are you sure, on my end it says everything has been entered correctly? The name of the competition is SuperCheats NFL and it shows I picked the Bills correctly. How do I see what everyone has chosen in the competition?

That first game could be a preview of the Super Bowl in February. Tough game to pick straight off the bat.
