With the Steelers, I really think it all comes down to how they start the season. They have a very tough schedule after their bye week, so they need all the wins they can get early on. If they can come out ahead in the win column across the first eight weeks, then, yeah, I think will be a nine or ten win team. However, they could take a dip this year if they have a slow start.

Russell Wilson is slated to start for Pittsburgh unless he has a horrid final pre season game or Fields has a great one. I still think that at some point during the season Wilson will get benched and Fields will take over and keep the job forcing Pittsburgh to let go of Wilson at the end of the season. I think the guy is on a one year deal anyway.

There's talk of Ju Ju Schuster or whatever the guy calls himself going to Washington and them trading Jahan Dotson. I think this will be a mistake...

Have you guys heard of any rookies around the league looking exceptional in the pre season? I only really follow Washington closely.

Jahan Dotson has been traded to the Eagles along with a 5th round pick in exchange for a 3rd round pick and two 5th round picks. There are whispers that Washington are clearing the way for Ja'Marr Chase who wants out of Cincinnati. Jayden Daniels and Ja'Marr Chase both played together at LSU. I hope this gets done, I prefer Chase to Aiyuk any day of the week and twice on Sundays.

It's looking like it could be Devante Adams of Las Vegas that will be coming to Washington. Apparently he wants out of Nevada. I'll be happy with him or Chase. The bookies say the favorite to go the capital is Tee Higgins.

The Bengals are not going to trade Chase. They will get a deal done with him.

Dotson to the Eagles scares me. Dotson as your #3 to Brown and Smith? No thank you. I foresee him having a big year as their slot guy. I have been saying Chiefs/Eagles as my early Super Bowl Pick, and I feel extremely confident with that now. Hurts + Saquon + Godert + Brown + Smith + Dotson + Top 5 OL = A Nightmare for opposing defenses.

Honestly, I've watched maybe 5 minutes combined of preseason football lol. Just haven't been able to get excited for it.

The Eagles have potential to be pretty nasty but I have serious concerns with how badly they broke down last year, 2 brand new coordinators, and Sirianni seeming like a real lame duck head coach.

Jamar Chase has reported to the Bengals. No new contract yet, but I would have to think he plays this week.

CeeDee Lamb has yet to report to Dallas. Nick Chubb out for the Browns until at least Week 5, andWatson dealt with more arm soreness during the preseason.

I have no idea who to pick in the Dallas/Browns Game. lol

Looks like Lamb is going to remain with the Cowboys, he has got his contract. 34 million a year, 100 million guaranteed. Looks like the Bengals are going to have to match that for Chase.

This is interesting, what happens to Prescott and Parsons now? Not enough money now for both their contracts now that Lamb has been paid out. I wouldn't be surprised if Dallas trade Prescott now.

I found out the reason why Dotson got traded, word in the locker room is he crumbles under pressure. Washington were going to get rid of him anyway, at least they got a 3rd round pick next year.

What's Elliot still doing hanging around the Cowboys complex like a bad smell? His best days are long gone, the moment he got his big contract the guy didn't want to play anymore.

Elliot's just a warm body at this point. Nice contract for Lamb though. I've seen a lot of people arguing Chase is way better, and honestly I don't see it. Lamb is definitely a top 5 guy.

Dalvin Cook signed with Dallas. For sure past his prime but a nice pickup.

Russell Wilson named the Steelers starting QB. No real surprise there.

Gotta lean Dallas over Cleveland now that Lamb is back. Dak and Parsons will have to play this year before getting a new contract.

Had a feeling Wilson was going to be the starter even before training camp. Not sure it really matters though. He is past his prime, and Fields is looking like nothing more than a backup. Best case, Steelers have an outlier dumpster fire season and get a future franchise guy in Beck or Sanders. Worst case, they are above .500 and vie for the wild card.

Drake Maye is a bit upset, Jacoby Brissett has been given the starting job at New England.

Brandon Aiyuk needs to make up his mind what he wants to do, he has already accumulated 4 million dollars in fines. It's going up by the day by $45,769 .

Russsell Wilson will lose the job to Fields by week 6. Pittsburghs future is not with Wilson, he has just been brought in to mentor Fields who got a raw deal with Chicago in regards to tutoring. If Fields isn't the guy both will be gone during next years offseason. Wilson will definately be history.

Aiyuk finally signed with the Niners. Settled for 30 million.

I knew Mayo was going to pick Brisett. Makes no sense, but I knew it was going to go down like that.

All that smoke for Aiyuk for nothing. Supposedly the same deal he was offered months ago. Weird.

Not super surprised at Brisset being the starter. Their O line is pretty bad and they don't want to throw Maye to the wolves right away.

Not sure why he stayed when he could have gotten more elsewhere, all the more so when you factor in those California taxes.

Nah, I think Brisett is just Mayos boy. Common sense will avail after a good streak of losses puts a fire under the new coach.

Lol, so in the end Aiyuk took 26 Million, he lost 4 million in fines for messing the 49rs about by not turning up for pre season games and practices. Aiyuk wouldn't have played in those games anyway...

Looks like Rice will not get suspended until next season. Chiefs luck out.

Locked in my picks. Cut and dry this week imo. Could be very good or very bad.

Done my picks too. I just know that there is going to be half a dozen 'upsets' in Week 1, happens every year. I wonder how many other teams there are around the league like Washington that are completely different. No telling what those teams will be like as there is no game film.

Starters Returning from last year:

Offense
RB - Brian Robinson
WR - Terry McLaurin
RG - Sam Cosmi
RT - Andrew Wylie

Defense
LDT - Daron Payne
RDT - Jonathan Allen
LCB - Benjamin St-Juice

Special Teams
P - Tress Way

That's 8 players that have kept their place from the available 29 positions. Basically means 21 new starters for the first game against the Bucs next week. How do you prepare for this Washington team?

I think the Washington/Tampa Game will definitely be close. Bucs are an aging roster with not many star players, while the Commanders are extremely young. Could easily be a Week 1 upset.

Some people are picking way crazy online. I am just going to play it safe. No use digging yourself into a hole on Week 1.

I have learnt that from previous years Warrior13, it is best to be play conservative during the early weeks to find out which teams have improved or declined otherwise you could be playing catch up from as early as week 5 if your hunches are wrong.

Lots of people still think Dallas will win the NFC East, surely Philadelphia have to be the favourites with the squad and experience they have.
