Temperatures

Has anyone here been in a serious accident before, or knows someone who has/was? I've been lucky enough to not be in any serious accidents myself.

Touch wood, I've not been in any serious accidents. I've been involved in a couple of car crashes that were not my fault and managed to walk away from them unscathed.

Nothing serious myself or immediate family thankfully, but one of my wifes family has been in a very bad accident.

Nope...touch wood.

My friends been hit by a car 3 times. 2009 (aged 7), 2010 (aged 8) and 2012 (aged 10). Still is 100% OK.

Someone ran over a black cat didn't they Dan?.

My grandparents rolled their camper van a few years ago. My granddad died from the injuries but he was also permanently paralyzed to the left side of his body from the accident, and he would've hated it. He also had dementia and was old but still. That's the only serious accident that any of my friends or family have been in.

Nope, an actual physical human being. I've never owned a cat.

I remember my friend saying his sister and her boyfriend got into an accident where the car rolled down a hill and hit a tree. She left with cuts and bruises and her boyfriend left with broken legs.

I watched a car do a 1.5 flip after driving head on into a guard rail. Lady was fine.

My gym teacher got hit by a student tossing a bat after swinging in baseball. The gym teacher was knocked out, like fractured his face, and still has no feeling in a lot of it. The student later killed himself for no apparent reason. He was a good friend of mine.

I've seen two houses burn down both electrical fires with no injuries. I live in one of the houses now.

I saw two girls drive a jet ski directly into a shoreline tree at half speed. They were fine.

I saw a plow hit a car. Everyone was fine. I think the plow hit and run.

I live in a suburb 20 minutes from a big city. The animals and bugs trying to kill us would be the same as most suburban areas in countries plus a few unique things and minus a few unique things.

They don't have a PM. But still, our PM is soooooo traditional it's annoying. There's nothing new or unique about him. I guess it means there's little risk of disaster but still. Apparently we all need to stand up and feel proud singing our national anthem, which very few people care about. Our opposition leader is terrible though.

I know. Why did US have to be "different" and have a president instead of a PM. Be normal. Geez.

Because they are a Republic and aren't owned by the Queen like we are.
