I see the odds are 50/50 that Donald Trump will be impeaced in his first term. Apparently the tinking is Trump will give someone grounds for impeachment, either by doing something that endangers national security or because it helps his pocketbook. I might place a few dollars on Trump painting the White House gold at 500/1, sounds like the sort of crazy thing he would do.

It should be an interesting presidential term, Trump has made promises to middle America which are impossible for him to follow through on. I was watching a documentary about it yesterday and experts were saying the era of America and steel is over, there is no way it can be how it was no matter what Trump decides to do. It's a shame really if he really does have good intentions to kick-start that economy.

I seriously doubt Trump will be impeached at all. He has become arguably the most powerful figure on the planet. He isn't going to throw it away 3 & 1/2 years early.

It's going to be an interesting 4 years, that's for sure. Being a business man with a very successful track record he may surprise everyone and turn things around for America. Let's be honest the last administration did nothing of note in 8 years. The media are trying to portray Trump as a buffoon but he's smarter than what people think, keep an eye on his daughter, Ivanka, she's a very smart business woman as well and I wouldn't be surprised if her father gets her involved in things.

Why does everyone say that Obama did next to nothing in his 8 years in office? I don't follow American politics heavily so I just want to know. I googled what Obama has achieved and there's tonnes of things. Have other Presidents done more?

The only positive notes of the Obama Admin was mandatory healthcare coverage, steady unemployment rate, and the execution of Binladen. However, depending on what side of the spectrum you view things from, Obamacare could be considered a bust that was full of lies, the unemployment rate isn't accurate since it only shows what number of those unemployed receive unemployment benefits, and he wasn't technically the one ultimately behind finding and killing Binladen. Again, it's how you view things.
There are plenty of negatives too, but that comes with all presidents.

Like you say it comes with the spectrum you view things in. Jake loathes Obama yet one of my friends treats him as a god. One is conservative and the other progressive. I'm more inclined to like Obama and not like Republicans cause I'm more progressive but that is affected by bias.

Ronald Reagan I think was the best President the US have had in recent years (1981-1989). A lot more got done when he was in power, probably the most notible thing was him was bringing down the Berlin Wall.

Lol, day 4 of Trumps presidency and already he's upset more people than Obama did in the whole eight years he was in office. When does work start on this 'Wall of America' Trump keeps going on about, he needs to get a move on if he wants to see it completed during his presidency. I bet it doesn't happen, I bet all that gets errected is a couple of wire fences along the border.

America is not broken, it's countries like China that are quickly catching her up. The divide is getting smaller each year, I can't believe the US imports steel from China when they have all those factories rotting in mid-America. I'm behind Trump on getting them back up and running, seems crazy to me America is not producing its own steel and is getting it shipped in because it is cheaper.
