This made me laugh, why is Obama portrayed as jovial and friendly in his official Presidential portrait while Trump is glaring with a menacing stare in his?

It's not a wig. Tons of people have grabbed it by now. There are other presidents with serious expressions. It's a symbol of strength.

I noticed that as well Matt77, the thing that got me about this portrait though is for some reason the lighting is looking up (tell by the light in his eyes) and Trump is leaning over giving an intimidating feeling to the shot unlike Obama's which is the complete opposite.

He would really, really have to drop the ball if he loses in a bid for reelection. It has only happened like five times, which just goes to show how underwhelming those few presidents were. Shoot, even Obama was reelected as the whole Obamacare was being blown up.
