All I know is society has changed dramatically from what only fifty years ago so it is only right peoples earnings should also change with the times to reflect this. I believe you should get paid on performance, whether you are a woman, gay, etc. should not enter the equasion.

Look the world has gotten out of hand thanks to social media allowing stupid people to have opinions.
That's all you need to know. The world hasnt changed that much, homosexuality is older than probably the damn dinosaurs, women have never been seen in high regard (burn the witch). Racism has always been around and quite frankly humans have always been idiots. They are just now idiots with Twitter and little to do with their lives.
People seem to be seeing a lot of these things as something new....its not.

Wait, so you're saying nothing has changed? Are black people still slaves? Are women still suppressed from society? Are gays still locked up for being gay? Certainly not in western co0untries. These things do however still happen in other countries. But still, things HAVE changed. If anyone makes an offensive comment on social media they will likely be flooded with people abusing them in return.
Things aren't perfect. They never will be. But they are better. My life would be very different if we were 60 years in the past.
