Body modifications

You can have piercings and break those stereotypes.

They only persist as long as no-one stands up & challenges their validity. My boss and the girls that work for us all have facial piercings, as well as myself obviously. No-one has said anything disparaging to me. Questioned my choice & asked about the pain. But that was curiosity.

You're feeding the negativity if you outwardly criticize someone for their choice as well Matt. Calling it ridiculous doesn't help any. It may not be for you, but that doesn't give you the right to judge someone else.

I think piercings are ridiculous. Am I going to go out and bash everyone who has a piercing? No. Am I going to treat people with piercings with disrespect? No. It's like if you get a tattoo. Plenty of people think they are ridiculous, but they still talk with people who get them.

I think piercings are ridiculous, and I'm entitled to my opinion. But I respect people if they think piercings are great. I mean for f*** sake I keep a straight face & respect friends/acquaintances's opinions even if they are against gay marriage or gay relationships.

Jesus man, chill out. Remember that things aren?t always so clear cut on the Internet. I wasn?t aware of your tone and intent. No need to lash out.

But again, you weren?t clear on your intent. It came across as redicule, without a qualifier of respect. And I took it as such.

I know Matt would never seriously negatively criticize anyone. If he does its just a joke. But I can still see why you got the wrong end of the stick.

It's funny how everyone has different opinions and they keep telling you that you should do this, or instead to this, or don't do anything at all.

That strange tone is commonly referred to as "adult sphynxx" or "serious sphynxx" or even "sphynxx is putting on his assistant manager pants and telling us off" by the girls at work lol

I get what your saying; I do. And I was more meaning situations where people outwardly (or publicly if you will) and openly just bash and redicule someone for piercings/tattoos/dyed hair.
