I bet you guys thought I'd be the last person to make a topic on anything Pokemon related.
But I just saw the ad for it on the homepage and thought it looked rather interesting. I am no Pokemon fan but I do like mystery-solving games. So I did some research (well looked it up on Wikipedia) and it looks rather interesting. I also found it strange that it was already released in Japan in February 2016 but apparently the English/Australian/American one is going to be different. And then it's also getting a physical release, and I only buy physical copies of games (except PC).
It comes out in late March this year.
Anyone else interested?

"On July 20, 2016, Chinese-owned American film company Legendary Entertainment announced that they have acquired the rights to make a live-action film based on the Detective Pikachu character. The film began pre-production in 2017. Later that year, it was reported that Alex Hirsch and Nicole Perlman will be writing the script. Dean Israelite, Robert Rodriguez, and Tim Miller were being considered as potential directors. Toho will distribute the film in Japan, while Universal Pictures will distribute it outside Japan. On November 30, 2016, Deadline revealed that Legendary Entertainment had chosen Rob Letterman to direct the film. The film stars Justice Smith, Kathryn Newton, Ken Watanabe and Ryan Reynolds as the voice of Detective Pikachu. The film is slated to be released on May 10, 2019."

I'm interested in Detective Pikachu. The game is basically about this boy who is looking for his father who mysteriously disappeared, getting the help of Detective Pikachu. You basically have to find clues to solve the mysteries that unfold before you.
Should be interesting since it doesn't revolve around the Core Pokemon Games. Plus, new content and a real ending will be added to this version. Should be fun.

Probably due to where you live. It was released yesterday. If you have a 3DS, you can probably download a virtual copy from the Nintendo Shop. ;)

It looks really cool, don't get me wrong...
But I need to save for a Switch. I've kinda had it in the back of my mind, but it's gonna happen. I'm going to get a job once school starts wrapping up and get one this summer, then I'll consider Detective Pikachu and Fire Emblem Echoes....
Oh wait I'll just be thinking about the Switch lol
Still, maybe a birthday present, it's always a bit awkward asking for money only, and presents are more fun.
