Getting back on topic, Ive just seen this and I thought it was ok. Im a bit confused on how this ties in the Cpt America Civil War as in that Waganda (or whatever) was now out of hiding and then when you go to the film they dont come out of the limelight until the end of the movie and this is after the death of the father so...what am I missing?

I liked the African tribal lore, but the final action scenes felt lackluster to me, especially the Black Panther's duel.

Also T'Challa's sister was the best character, not gonna lie.

I never got around to watching the Black Panther movie although I loved the character in the 1970's comics. I was going to take my 9 year old son to watch it until my sister told me my 8 year old nephew didn't like the movie because he couldn't understand what the African people were saying because of their accent.

Maybe I'll come off as rude, but I find that funny because none of the actors really have that accent, they practiced it specifically FOR the movie lol

There's just more emphasis on deeper syllables, while the higher syllables aren't pronounced as fully. It reminded me of Huck Finn and the way the black man, Jim, spoke.

I haven't seen the movie yet but after hearing my nephew complaining he couldn't understand what they were saying I decided to give it a miss altogether and wait for it to come out on DVD. Apparently it was one of Marvels most successful movies which surprised me to be honest because going by the trailers its basically a Tarzan movie with a futuristic city in the jungle.

I wanted to see it (I'm a die hard DC fan btw) but after ppl's stupid remarks about "race this" and "race that", I'm going to take a pass. Why can't we just take ppl for just ppl? It's a freaking comic book character. Enjoy it for what it is. sheeeeesh!
