I haven't seen many superhero films (or American films) that actually captivate me. They all usually begin and end the same except with different over dramatic stunts that not even Kate Oates would produce. Drives me mad.

I'm struggling to get motivated to watch these Marvel movies now, I didn't bother with the Black Panther or Thor Raganarok and after watching the Avengers: Infinigy Gauntlet trailer I didn't rush to find out when the release date was which wouldn't have been the case five years ago. I think the bubble has burst with superhero movies, the first and second Captain America movies were great, so was the first Avengers movie but everything after that has been so so in my opinion. As for DC, apart from Wonder Woman they have produced terrible movies although saying that I wouldn't mind seeing a Harley Quinn movie starring Margot Robbie.
Marvel now has the rights for the Fantastic Four which means they will also have their great support characters which includes Dr Doom, Galactus, and the Silver Surfer. I heard a rumour the Silver Surfer makes an appearance in the Avengers: Infinity Gauntlet. The Silver Surfer is easily the coolest character in comics.

I'm never watching any American films ever again. Tomb Raider was good and I want the last Hollywood film I see to not be a steaming pile of poop.

Four?? It's more like fourteen. They are starting to become boring in my opinion, I'm wondering how long it will last until the bubble pops and the puplic say enough is enough and demand decent movies. I don't know what is happening with Hollywood, all they seem to be doing these days is churning out superhero movies, remakes, and mediocre Star Wars movies. I can't remember the last great movie I saw that didn't fall into one of those three categories, probably Dunkirk.

danielroxheaps, I haven't seen it yet, is it worth watching? The trailer looks decent. If you've seen it how do you compare it to the Jolie movies of the 90's.

I haven't seen the 90s ones but I was surprised since I normally hate Hollywood movies - I thought it was quite good. It had a PROPER story, good protagonists and antagonists. Contained weapons like guns but didn't focus on them (which is the problem most Hollywood movies have - too many gunfights etc

In that case danielroxheaps I will make a point of watching Tomb Raider as soon as I can based on your recommendation. If the movie has a decent story I'm interested in seeing it, I'm fed up of cgi heavy movies with no substance.

I have watched it on weekend and geez it really is a great film. Looking forward to seeing Antman, Deadpool 2, and Captain Marvel next.

I must admit I'm interested in seeing Captain Marvel, what I don't understand though is why Nick Fury of SHIELD waited for the end of the credits of the Infinity War to finish before giving her a call if she has the power to sort this mess out.

Looking forward to seeing Tomb Raider. It looks like its based on the more recent games reboot series which I enjoyed. I saw wonder woman a while back and wasn't that impressed.
Agreed there is too much focus on Superheros now. But with so many storylines already written and a guaranteed fan base to sell to it could be a while yet before they run out of steam.
Not sure when i'll get round to watching infinity war but i will probably already know what happens as the spoilers are everywhere now.
