I compete against ten or so every year, and I?ve won the last 8/10. I?ll be fine. :p

Sort of. You and I have been loosely facing each other the last couple of years, and we all know how that has gone. ;)

That's it though. Loosely. I've just been taking it easy and letting you win, so that you have a false sense of security :p (I wish)

Things can change very quickly however Pokemon Master. In my AFL tipping comp I am by far the best and most knowledgeable of the group (it's not arrogance if you're just simply better than people), and a guy who barely even follows the sport is within one point of taking my lead.

Oh, and I'm sure you've already realised this from doing tipping, but:
- Try go with your gut as often as possible, without being dumb
- NEVER CHANGE A TIP, EVER!!! (in my history I'm something like 1-6 when changing my tip, & everyone I know suffers a similar record when they decide to change)

And one thing to remember. Dennis is the king of playoffs. What I was always planning to do was set all playoff games as joker rounds (double points), and since those games are of more importance in the NFL, they should be of more importance in tipping too. So watch out Tortured Soul; don't forget about Dennis, because if you don't have a big lead come wildcard weekend, it will all be over for you :p

Playoffs should be separate. That?s like counting preseason.

Preseason games aren't real games. Postseasons games are.

At least in the comp we have, playoffs are included. We can always just see who is on top come week 17 and declare a winner that way, but from doing tipping in the past, postseason games can be important. Last year I snuck into 1st in the last round in my AFL tipping, but I got unlucky in the postseason and slipped down to 2nd.

As the season progresses we can always decide whether playoff tipping will be best. Also Dennis, what do you think about it?

The Playoffs are live games so I think they should be counted. The preseason games can be discarded, they are just exhibition/practice sessions where nobody cares if they win or not, the players are just trying to avoid injury and cement their place in the starting lineup.

Don't know what? If you can do tipping? If you will win? Something else?

What do I have to do now Matt? How do I enter week one's tips for example.

Come on Warrior13, it will only take a few minutes of your time to predict 16 games and mark them down. I know losing to an Aussie and a Brit could be potentially embarrassing but it's only a bit of fun to make the weekly games more interesting.

On the home page when you log in, you should see our competition. Next to it in red, should be a link to your weekly tips. Obviously you don't have to tip just yet since it's only week 3 of the preseason now, but keep it mind.

If you have any problems, let me know. This is why I suggested this idea so early, cause we have plenty of time to prepare and fix any potential issues.

Matt, still haven't heard back from Warrior13, he's probably concerned that there is a possibility one of us two will beat him at his own game.

More so not interested in the Regular Season and Post Season being as one.

But in all seriousness like I said before, we can make that final decision as the regular season progresses. If we decide not to include post-season, the person with the highest points at the end of week 17 will win. But if we decide to include it, we'll go right through to the SB. Like for example someone here realises they will get super busy, we can shorten it to week 17.

Matt, just make it the regular season if that is what it takes to get Warrior13 to sign up. I plan on having an unsurmountable lead by week 14 anyway.

I think he's going to do it anyway, but his royal highness would prefer just regular season since he knows we will destroy him

Warrior, if you prefer just the regular season, we'll put it down to a result deciding it. By that, I mean since me & Dennis outvote you 2-1, if Miami win their season opener against Tennessee by MORE THAN 3 points, we will cut postseason. If Miami only win by 3 or less, or if Tennessee win, we'll be doing postseason.

Do the dollars amounts on the tips page matter or play any role? A little confused.
