Even if Facebook were to explode, reform and explode again, there are more alternatives available now. Reddit and Twitter are pretty hip too dawg. Discord would have a wider appeal to get people together to chat about games and junk in trunks.
you would have to honestly have to kill something like reddit which is impossible. Reddit has literally everything including an active forum for your hyper specific game. You can't...tweets and gaming posts are two different things. I can't live post the video game awards the same you can live tweet.
Admittedly I've found a Discord group of friends over Fire Emblem Heroes that has expanded relatively deep as far as online friends go. Rivaling my closeness with some of you (sorry, but true).
Although I kinda regret it because it takes up so much time. Idk. Not big on social media things myself.
I'm a wandering tactician, here to help those in need. My strategies are yours.
I agree that Reddit is essentially a juggernaut. Nothing can stop the Juggernaut. I myself frequent it a lot and it is pretty great, though time consuming.
I also got introduced to a gaming dads Discord group through Reddit. Also pretty great.
reddit is surprisingly fun. especially for memes. they have gud ones.
ya know, what if supercheats creates it's own presence on other websites? like, a supercheats subreddit. And, maybe a discord server too? just an idea...
Well, I know what I will probably do. It's not that I want to be an accountant, but I need to do something with my life, and this sort of area is the best choice. I'm fairly good at it, and there'll be tonnes of job opportunities.
If I was to choose something I wanted, it would be something more interesting than accounting... In the last 4 years I've gotten more and more into following several codes of sport ( AFL, NRL, Tennis, Cricket, NFL, & English Soccer (4 competitions of it) ), and I always have a lot to say/write when it comes to those sports. Doing sports writing would be something that interests me, but in reality there would be so few jobs going around. To get a job on the corresponding sport's website, you'd probably need years of experience working, and in that case my best bet would be looking for newspapers or online websites like ESPN. But still, there would only be a handful of positions. I wouldn't want to go through a 3-5 year degree, only to realise that finding a job would be insanely difficult.
I also think that if it became my career, it would ruin my love for sport (yes, I know you're dying right now). Instead of actually watching a game and relaxing, I would have to take notes throughout. And I wouldn't be able to freely write what I wanted. My opinion would be so harshly assessed. It would become a chore instead of a hobby.

Depends on who you're working for. If you're working for a newspaper or online news site, they'd probably have a note pointing out that the article is of the author's opinion. Also my uncle decided in his mid 40s that he wanted to be a police officer so you've got about 30 years to change your mind haha
True. But wasting time and money would hurt. In total, if I pass every unit on the first attempt and don't have to do an extra semester, uni fees are $33,000 (I will have to pay for half).
