2021 NFL Mock Draft Submissions

Auburn & Standford Pro Days today. Pretty much it until next week. Free Agency this week, bulk of Pro Days next week. Sets up nicely for our couple of Mock Drafts in April.

Auburn Pro Day Notes:

WR Seth Williams ran an official 4.50. Not bad for a dude that is 6'3". Mid rounder.

WR Anthony Schwartz blazed at 4.26 unofficially. Jesus. Late rounder, but he's got the speed that can't be taught.

Stanford Pro Day about to begin. One of the few that will be broadcasted live. Will be interesting to see OT Little in action. Two years of knee injuries and then he opted out last year. Would've been an easy 1st Rounder if he had the chance at a dominating year this past season, but currently a Day 2 Guy. Could be a steal or fast riser depending on what happens today. CB Paulson Adebo needs a big day to get back into contention of being a Day 2 Pick. He was considered to be a fringe Day 1 Guy before the season, but has fallen due to technique and speed concerns.

Washington now have four offensive players that run a 4.3 second 40 yard dash and a big armed quarterback. I don?t think you?re going to see the West Coast Offense in 2021.

I keep hearing rumors that the reason Fitzpatrick has played for 9 different teams in the NFL is because he crumbles under pressure when he is the starter. Great off the bench quarterback when the game seems lost though.

I really like Fitz. He always shows up in huge moments and makes ridiculous plays, but if you need him to be your QB for a whole season he's going to struggle a bit. He thrives in a situation like he was in with Miami.

But he did have a pretty good year in NY and a decent year in Buffalo where he started all 16 games, so I think you'll be fine. Especially with Washington having a top 5 defense. I just want him to make the playoffs.

I didn? t Realise Curtis Samuels was a running back in college, I was wondering when I was watching his career highlights on YouTube why he was so difficult to bring down in the open field. Apparently Ron Rivera sent Curtis Samuels a Washington jersey through the post the day the 2020 season ended so he was a Washington target all along, being an ex-Panther he knows Rivera?s system.

Washington will draft Koramoah if he is available when they draft, Linebacker is therir biggest need now they have taken care of the quarterback and wide receiver positions.

Why is everyone picking the Cowboys to win the NFC East in 2021 now they have signed Prescott. Even before he got injured Dallas were 1-3 with Prescott starting. Not sure why the Bears went and got Andy Dalton, it?s not a good fit and he didn?t perform well in Dallas last year. I don?t get it.

Adebo ran an unofficial 4.42. Definitely helps. Needs smooth drills though.

Little looks rough after not really playing since 2018. Definitely Day 2 at best.

WR Simi Fehoko is six four 225lbs and was sub 4.4. Compared to Claypool, but faster. Could be a Day 2 riser.

Dennis, I think it's cause those losses were pretty close and against strong teams, the Rams, Seahawks, and Browns. And the Cowboys put up a lot of points. Their defense is atrocious though.

I'm with you though, as it stands now Washington is the clear favorite with the Cowboys a distant second and the Giants close behind them.

Well, Stanford QB Mills made a great case to be QB6 in this draft. Very accurate, very smooth and natural thrower. Being compared to Cousins, but Cousins ran a 4.9 and he ran an unofficial 4.58. Was projected in the 3rd, but he is rising.

Hearing so much good about Mills after his showing today. Not sure he can climb to the first, but I would not be shocked if he does go at the end of the round for that fifth year option. Five star recruit out of high school, number one pro style QB. 6-4 225lbs, runs sub 4.6, completed 50/54 in perfect stride and under bad weather conditions. Day 2 at the very worst.

Never heard of him beyond what you said, but I'll take him, please. Pitt needed to draft the QB of the future yesterday.

I hear you. Drop back to the end of the 1st, acquire an additional 3rd, and then draft Mills to have that 5th year option. Let him learn under Ben for a year, and then let him take over.

Yeah, I'd be down with that. The Steelers big need is tackle, and I don't think they're gonna get a top guy at their spot (24). I want them to drop down to 29-32 and get a 3rd and either take this guy and get a RB in the 3rd, or take a top RB at the end of the first and grab depth at LB in the 3rd.

They also need a blocking TE to help shore up the line but TE is kind of hard to draft. I want them to bring Jesse James back.

If they can fall back in the 1st and get a 3rd, they could do something like this:

1st - QB Mills Stanford
2nd - OT Little Stanford
3rd - RB Gainwell Memphis
3rd - C Meinerz Wisconsin-Whitewater
4th - LB Surratt North Carolina
5/6/7th - CB, TE, WR

I'd be perfectly happy with that, and that late round WR would probably end up being a starter.

I thought Dwayne Haskins was the future quarterback of the Pittsburgh Steelers. Have the Steelers given up on him already? He's listed as the third string quarterback but I think he's better than Rudolph Mason. You have to remember when Haskins was playing at Washington the only weapon he had was Terry McLarin and he was always double-teamed. If the Steelers look at Haskins as a project they may be able to pull his full potential out within a couple of years and he could take over from Ben Rothesburger when he retires. Haskins has all the physical attributes you could want.

I think the team is pretty low on him because of his low football IQ and off field antics.

No need for WR for Pitt now that Juju is coming back.

Nice deal too, just 1 year 8M. He'll cash in next year with a thinner WR free agency class and a higher cap.

Why don?t the Steelerstry try and pick up .Darnold, I think the Jets will tradehim just before the draft.

I'd be okay with that, I think Darnold is salvageable for the right price. I'm not sure they'll trade him now though.
