2021 NFL Mock Draft Submissions

In that case, Warrior13, someone better contact Matt to find out if he still wants to be in the competition and let's get things sorted out now. The amount of information I have been digesting about the NFL during the off season, I feel pretty confident I'll do a lot better this year.

I'm hoping to do better, but I always seem to screw myself in Week 1. There are more tough matchups this year as well right off the bat.

It always seems to come down to the last few games of the season for me.

I feel like the last two seasons ended for me in Week 1. I seem to know what a team is going to be a little too early. If I had picked more conservatively, I probably would've been in it at the end.

Tough Week 1 Matchups:
Eagles vs Falcons (crud against crud)
Vikings vs Bengals (mediocre against mediocre)
Cardinals vs Titans (playoff caliber team against playoff caliber team)
Seahawks vs Colts (playoff caliber team against playoff caliber team with Wentz)
Chargers vs Redskins (playoff caliber team against playoff caliber team)
Jaguars vs Texans (crud against crud)
Browns vs Chiefs (divisional round rematch)
Dolphins vs Patriots (playoff caliber team against playoff caliber team)
Broncos vs Giants (mediocre against mediocre)

Wow, all of those are tough. Really shows how much of a crapshoot this thing is.

Perhaps this is going to be more difficult than I inutallt thought, especially early in the season with so many toss up games like ghe knds jou listed. If I'm not careful I could be out of touch in the competition early if I get too many if those games wrong.

I am leaning one way or another for each game, but it is like 55-45. Not confident.

Good news is we're probably all equally likely to screw some of them up.

Without a doubt, each year I do my selections and feel confident and then strange things happen with three or four of the games each week that leaves me scratching my head. This year will be no different.

I just realized that the season starts in two weeks. Is it just me or didnt the season always start immediately after the preseason? Does it have to do with the seventeen game season?

Yeah, last year preseason was supposed to end on September 3rd with regular season starting on the 10th. Guess it's a new CBA change.

It was very strange to me. I heard someone say today that the season starts in two weeks, and I was all like "What?" You would think they would want to start as soon as the preseason ends with the extra regular season game.

I guess they wanted to keep the regular season start date the same while cutting out the last preseason week. Kind of like a bye week, I guess.

I bet teams would rather have two bye weeks than start a week later. lol

Sounds like a sensible idea cutting out the fourth pre season game. It gives the players an extra weeks rest and allows them to focus on the start of the new season. I always tbought four pre season games was a bit much for such a brutal sport, in my opinion two pre season games, eight quarters is enough playing time to see what you have.

I didn't mind having four preseason games, but three are fine. Mainly backups now anyway.

No doubt the league's plan is to have two preseason and 18 regular season games within the next few years.

Makes the most sense. Maybe throw in a second bye week too by beginning a week earlier. Teams only care about scrimmages now anyway.

Are the games on London still going ahead. Any news on the London team, it was imminentjust before Covid struck. I haven't heard anything since.

Yeah, they're supposed to have 2 London games this year.

Week 5 Oct 10th, Jets at Falcons
Week 6 Oct 17th, Dolphins at Jaguars

Going forward in 2022 there will be at least 4 international games a year, and they want to expand beyond the UK and Mexico into Canada and Germany. I'm all for growing the game but I do think it has a negative effect on the teams with the travel and time difference, and it seems like they always pick bad teams for those games.
