That's great news steelers01, I'm happy for you!

Trent McDuffie twice, thanks for pointing that out, didn't realise. I'll have to change that Cincinnati pick.

I'm now looking forward to seeing steelersrock01's mock.

What happened to Matt, I haven't seen him here in a long while, he usually puts forward a mock for the upcoming NFL draft, is the guy OK or is it just a case of plenty of work and a love interest on the side taking up his spare time.

Mike: Working in pajamas is always nice. ;)

Dennis: If you think DB for Cincinnati, Lewis Cline (Safety, Georgia) could sneak in the 1st. Just a suggestion.

I'm starting to think Dennis might have an inside track on some of these picks. Suddenly, I'm see a few people starting to slot Ekwonu to the Texans.

2022 Mock

1. Jaguars - EDGE Travon Walker
2. Lions - EDGE Aidan Hutchinson
3. Texans - OL Ikem Ekwonu
4. Jets - CB Ahmed Gardner
5. Giants - EDGE Kayvon Thibodeaux
6. Panthers - OL Charles Cross
7. Giants (from Bears) - CB Derek Stingley Jr.
8. Falcons - WR Garrett Wilson
9. Seahawks (from Broncos) - OL Evan Neal
10. Jets (from Seahawks) - WR Drake London
11. Commanders - S/CB/LB Kyle Hamilton
12. Vikings - CB Trent McDuffie
13. Texans (from Browns) - EDGE George Karlaftis
14. Ravens - LB Devin Lloyd
15. Eagles (from Dolphins) - DL Jordan Davis
16. Saints (from Colts) - QB Kenny Pickett
17. Chargers - WR Chris Olave
18. Eagles (from Saints) - CB Andrew Booth Jr.
19. Saints (from Eagles) - WR Jameson Williams
20. Steelers - QB Malik Willis
21. Patriots - LB Nakobe Dean
22. Packers (from Raiders) - WR Jahan Dotson
23. Cardinals - DL Devonte Wyatt
24. Cowboys - C Tyler Linderbaum
25. Bills - WR Skyy Moore
26. Titans - OL Zion johnson
27. Buccs - OL Kenyon Green
28. Packers - DL Travis Jones
29. Chiefs (from 49ers) - WR George Pickens
30. Cheifs - CB Daxton Hill
31. Bengals - CB Kaiir Elam
32. Lions (from Rams) - QB Sam Howell

Some rationale:

I think at this point Walker is going #1. I can see the Texans going for Thibodeaux or Gardner as well, but a solid OL is so valuable especially with an inexperienced QB. If Ekwonu drops I could actually see the Jets taking him given how dissatisfied they seem with Becton. A lot of mocks have Carolina and Seattle taking QBs, right now I'm thinking they might hold off and shore up the line. Cross might be a little early at 6. The Steelers may go WR with one of their picks. I think the Steelers like Willis more than Pickett, Tomlin has said over and over that he wants a smart, quick, mobile QB and with the Wonderlic results and how they've conducted themselves Willis seems to fit the Steelers better. George Pickens has had some attitude/motivation issues crop up, and I think the Chiefs are a great place for him to go with Mahomes at QB and Reid there to keep him on track. If he does fall he definitely feels like a Mike Tomlin reclamation project as a Day 2 pick. Wasn't sure what to do with the Lions at 32, but like Dennis I think they'll take a QB just for the 5th year option. I have no idea if that will be Howell, Ridder, or Corral. And like always I have a tough time with the receivers, I think a bunch will go in round 1 but the order of them is a crapshoot.

That's a great mock too steelers01, like Warrior13's mock I can't argue with any of your choices.

I hope Washington don't select Hamilton though, last thing we need is no speed in the secondary with all these fast wide receivers in the league now. I have no quarrels if they take Drake London though as Wentz was productive with Zach Ertz who is a big slow tight end.

Mike: Nice mock. I want so badly to be able to drop a WR to the Chargers, but I'm having serious issues doing so. lol

Dennis: Have you decided on a new pick for the Bengals?

I worked on my mock earlier, but I didn't update just yet. Will do so tomorrow. Charges giving me fits; I'm hoping some info comes out by tomorrow. Might just plot Ojabo to them and accept the fact that it's not going to happen. lol

For Cincinnati's 31st pick I'm going with Kaiir Elam. I've changed it on my mock already.

That's who I've got them going for as well. Even with their improvements this offseason I think they could grab another offensive line piece, but you can never have enough defensive back help.

I am down to Elam, Linderbaum, and Ojabo for the Bengals.

I will be posting my Final Mock before the draft kicks off. Gonna try to get it done as quick as possible here so that both of you can catch a glimpse before the event begins.

Well done Warrior13, I have to hand it to you that is impressive. Twice as many correct picks as me, you certainly know your football. I wonder how many Mel Kiper got right, I bet it's not 12 out of 32, that's almost one third of the draft correct.

Yeah, 12 is up there. And that is my second year in a row of getting 12 correct. I think I would have gotten more if there had not been as many trades. That instantly kills mock drafts.

You did exceptionally well, I'm impressed. I found when doing my mock that after pick 12 things started getting difficult, literally a number of players could of been selected in any position.

Awesome draft Warrior. Really wasn't expecting Stingley to go that soon, and I got the orders of Cross and Neal and Ikwonu switched around. Same for London and Wilson. Definitely wasn't expecting so many trades.

I don't know about you guys but for me the draft has been anti-climatic, I was hoping to get a guy who may end up being elite. Ironic Washington trades down to the Saints and New Orleans selects one of the players I wanted for Washington at pick 11.

I think Dotson will be good for Washington. He's quick and a good route runner, he just needs to get a little stronger. Hard to tell if the extra 3rd and 4th round picks they got from trading down are worth missing out on a better WR or Hamilton though.

Mike: Thanks. I was literally going crazy when I got 11 in a row. I was worried when the Saints traded up, but I knew my streak was over when the Lions jumped up to #12. Not sure why the Texans passed on Jermaine Johnson, as well as the Chargers going with Zion Johnson over Trevor Penning. But I will gladly take 12 right.

Dennis: I thought the draft was crazy. I get your side of things as Dotson is not London or Wilson, but he is very electric. He will do good for you. Plus, like Mike said, you cannot go wrong getting extra picks.

Dennis tied Mel Kiper for 6 Correct Picks. Mike tied Todd McShay with 5 Correct Picks.

We should call up ESPN and see if they will hire us. lol

I think they would be interested in hiring you Warrior13, who the hell is Mel Kiper anyway? Getting 11 right in a row is uncanny, I'd like to hear what the experts think about that. They can't call it lucky because you're pretty accurate every year.

I'm a little confused to be honest why Washington took a wide receiver, they've already got Curtis Samuel, Dyami Brown, Cam Sims, and Terry McLarin. Now they have Jahan Dotson, what was wrong with the other recievers that they felt they had to get one in the first round. Is it because Washington know they are not going to pay Terry McLarin? I'm beginning to wonder.

Washington have gaping holes at linebacker and defensive back that need to be filled, Devin Lloyd, Nakobi Dean, or Jermaine Johnson would have made more sense at pick 17. I really am beginning to wonder if McLarin will be used as a barganing chip, just looked at the depth chart and there are holes everywhere. Not sure Ron Rivera knows what he is doing to be honest, he got rid of a couple of decent players in John Settle and Matt Ioannidis and now trades back to fill those holes and others. If Rivera doesn't make the playoffs this year Washington will get rid of him, the fans are losing their patience.
