If Watson isn't suspended for the year, you can't rule out Cleveland as well.

I would rank the AFC Odds of Super Bowl Bids as the following:
1) Kansas City
2) Buffalo
3) Denver
4) Los Angeles
5) Cleveland w/Watson
6) Cincinnati
7) Baltimore
8) Indianapolis
9) Miami
10) Las Vegas
11) Tennessee
12) New England
13) Pittsburgh
14) New York
15) Jacksonville
16) Houston

Cleveland plummets if Watson is out. Would rank the Raiders higher, but that division is much harder than Miami, who could easily go 4-2 in the East (losing both to Buffalo but sweeping the Jets and Pats).

You still think Kansas will be as effective without Tyreek Hill scaring the secondary with his speed? The double cover will now shift to Travis Kelcie who will see a drop-off in production with the extra coverage hindering him.

I still go Buffalo, they've never won a Super Bowl, so they will be hungry for one and everything I have seen from them in the last couple of years points to them putting it all together and making a run for the Super Bowl this year. You can't discount Brady and the Buccaneers, just think they've had their day.

Is number 4 both Los Angeles teams? Rams and Chargers I think will both be in the playoffs.

I think he's only listed AFC teams, so that's Chargers. I roughly agree with his rankings, there are 10-11 potentially good teams in the AFC. The only teams I'm seeing as bad are NYJ, Houston, and Jax.

Exactly. You can literally arrange 1-4, 5-7, and 8-13 in any order you want. Too much of a toss up.

Pretty much. I think Cleveland w/ Watson is simply too talented to not see some success. Not making the playoffs is a disaster for that team if Watson plays 10+ games.

I don't know about you two but I hope the guy fails dismally. I don't usually wish someone bad luck but that guy is a creep, I just see a predator who uses his wealth and fame to prey on defenseless women. Not happy with Cleveland the way they treated Mayfield, he didn't deserve that. The guy may have a bit of an attitude problem but at the end of the day he just wanted his team to win.

Yeah, I like Mayfield and think the Browns did him dirty regardless of what I think of Watson. Browns are just a poorly run franchise.

Watson has settled 20 out of 24 cases (I thought there was 26). Why did it take so long for him to settle and what about the other four cases?

Pretty sure the price tag to settle has been getting higher by the passing day. The four that remain clearly want an ungodly amount of money. Otherwise, they would've settled too.

Note that settling also means nothing in terms of him being suspended by the NFL.

Yes, sounds like the other four are getting greedy, now Watson has paid out the others the remaining four will eventually get what they want, it's just a matter of time. I can't wait to hear what the suspension time by the NFL will be for bringing the game into disrepute.

Mike: I have to disagree. I would not be surprised if the NFL "Kindly hinted" to him and his agent to get as many settled as possible or risk a year-long suspension.

Dennis: I heard Watson originally offered each of them 100k when Miami was still considering trading for him. But since that didn't happen, I'm guessing the price ended up being around 250-500k each (which is not a lot when you consider the massive deal Watson is getting).

When you consider the money Watson is on that is peanuts, I'm surprised he didn't settle straight away if under 500K is what we are talking about, if anything just to make everything go away when it first came to light.

As for the NFL, they are no doubt embarrassed by the situation and the bad publicity that has come with it. If Watson wasn't an elite level quarterback I think the NFL would have thrown him out and used him as warning to other players to behave good outside the game. Now it's a case of them banning him for eight or so games and hope the fuss all dies down.

Sounds like the latest report is that they're looking at at least a full season suspension.

I read that as well, it's looking like the suspension will be one season and not any longer.

I didn't realise the Bucs as well as the Panthers are interested in Mayfield.

I will still be shocked if they suspend Watson for a year. He was already out last year, and it's only going to hurt the NFL if the Browns are trash without him. Plus, the longer they prolong it, the harder it will be to rip the bandage off. I'm still sticking to 8 games.

From what I have read recently, this is how some scouts currently rate the 2023 Draft Prospects:

1) DE Anderson (Alabama)
2) DT Carter (Georgia)
3) RB Robinson (Texas)
4) QB Young (Alabama)
5) QB Stroud (Ohio State)
6) WR Smith-Njigba (Ohio State)
7) QB Levis (Kentucky)

Man, that WR's name is going to get butchered in some unfortunate ways.

steelersrock01: You are right, that's an unfortunate name, it's also unfortunate the other name is Smith which and is a common name that will get him confused with other players with the same name.

I'm surprised to see a running back in that list, this Robinson must be special to be ranked that highly. Just looked at his highlights, he's just basically a dump off receiver, he is too small for the position in the NFL at 200 pounds.

From what I hear, scouts think he could be the next Saquan Barkley. Dude can do it all. I would love it if the Phins can get him in the teens next year.

In college news, USC and UCLA are leaving the PAC12 and joining the BIG10 in 2024. I can't wait to see that. Will USC and UCLA be able to hang in a conference built mainly on defense? Can't wait for 2024 now.
