Alchemy is the study of chemicals and their compounds, which have certain properties. It's basically a sophisticated version of potion-making.

I made Iron Pyrites doing it once, and gamemaster should know what that is.

I thought that was obvious... and I've never used Biology or Physics in Alchemy. I got a bloody D in the exam, for God's sake... I aced the Chemistry bit though. =D

You mixed an unstable element with a naked flame? Gaia, how stupid are you? And not really, Mask-o-Sheik. Well, I've never heard any evidence to the contrary, so I presume not.

"Alchemy," in midevil times, was the sad and strange 'art' or tring to turn metals such as iron and steel into gold. They theorised that everything was made up of the comonly recognised four elements. Based on this, they decided that they could turn one thing into another by simply adjusting the amounts of each element in something. Now this was flawed in the respect that there are more hundreds of different elements. Now the same theory holds, exept that the ammounts of energy that would be required to fuse atoms is ASTRONOMICAL, rendering 'alchemy,' as it was understood during the dark ages, impossible (at least for the time being).

And whoever said I'm sceptical? I said it's possible, didn't I? It IS possible. It's very possible. It's just that the sheer energy required would more than likely blow up the earth. This kind of thing is happening every second in space, inside almost every star. I just said that for US it's impossible.
