In the not-so-far future the polar ice caps have melted and the resulting raise of the ocean waters has drowned all the coastal cities of the world. Withdrawn to the interior of the continents, the human race keeps advancing, reaching to the point of creating realistic robots (called mechas) to serve him. One of the mecha-producing companies builds David, an artificial kid which is the first to have real feelings, especially a never-ending love for his "mother", Monica. Monica is the woman who adopted him as a substitute for her real son, who remains in cryo-stasis, stricken by an incurable disease. David is living happily with Monica and her husband, but when their real son returns home after a cure is discovered, his life changes dramatically. A futuristic adaptation of the tale of Pinocchio, with David being the "fake" boy who desperately wants to become "real"...
My opinion:
This is based on an old fairytale, but nevertheless Steven Spielberg makes this a great movie with great special effects and excellent acting by Haley Joel Osment. This movie makes you think a few times about some matters in life like racism, cultural differences, the ego of the human mind...etc. (it does for me) This is definitely another one to watch and again at the end it will make you wipe away a tear if you are a sensitive person.

My opinion:

Oh you all post so much description...
Silent Hill: Wasn't as scary as i predicted. there were some gory, and wierd bits... but nothing especially scary, only the odd jumpy bit. The film is basically about a girl who gets stolen by loads of wierd creatures, and her mother has to go save her. Lots of gore and wierdness, and generally a good film.
I'd give it a 6.5/10, as i said, could have been scarier.

I didnt really like Final Fantasy especially the ending. Who else besides me saw Silent Hill. Tops id give that movie 2 stars max. That movie had a mixed up plot and things just happened in that movie. Can someone explain to me what was going on?
