Kyogre vs Groudon

Kyogre vs Groudon is a very good debate of who would win.

Good debate, lol. Kyogre has God Like SP.Def and SP.Attack. Whereas Groundon has God Like Attack and Defense. There ability's cancel each other out so Groundon would take 2 turns to power up a solar beam which would get absorbed by Kyogre who would have about 50% health left. WHere as in that time Kyogre could use 2 Surfs, killing Groundon with ease.

Kyogre would win if the user has any sense and gives him Surf and Ice Beam.

kyroge is the better outta the two.. i think..

It all depends on speed...

Kyogre has higher speed - Drizzle works, Hydro Pump is more effective and Groudon has to charge up for Solarbeam. Kyogre gets two hits while Groudon can only manage one. Kyogre pwns Groudon.

Groudon has higher speed - Drought works, Solarbeam doesn't need to charge up, and he uses it twice on Kyogre to win. Groudon pwns Kyogre.

Please note that this is assuming they're the same level. XD

Actually, it would be that Groudon's drought would make Kyogre's moves do nothing, and he would then Swords Dance and attack accordingly. Solarbeam sucks.

I doubt that, no one uses Overheat unless there pokemon is holding a White Herb, That other slot, if a Fire type move would be Flamethrower or Fire Blast. Or it woud be Return/Brick Break to make use of Swords Dance

No, In the ubber Metagame Overheat is stricly to guarntee a OHKO on Skar. Flamethrower cant. Brick Break and Return suck with Groudon.

Kyogre DOES NOT in any way, shape or form get killed by Groundon in one Solar Beam, It takes at least 2 because:

Kyogre Base Sp.Defense = 140
Groundon Base Sp.Att = 100

See the difference, Kyogres defense is higher than Groundons attack and as there is no STAB there is no way there will be a OHKO, this is why Kyogre can OHKO Groudon with Surf because

Groudon Base Sp.Defense = 90
Kyogre Base Sp.Att = 150

Once again look at the difference, Kyogres attack is greater than Groundons defense, plus STAB giving it a 10% boost making it 165, it makes a BIG difference

Once again, Kyogre wins

SOLARBEAM ON GROUDON = FAIL.

Now, Earthquake or Rock Slide + Swords Dance on Groudon = Pwnage

Frankly, if Groudon is faster, his drought will come out, so it will cut kyogre's water power down, therefore letting Groudon score a swords dance and an attack without being killed.

If Kyogre is faster, his water moves will be powered up, so he will be able to kill groudon with water attacks.

I'ts all about speed, but overall when groudon pulls off a swords dance his attack stats are by far the better of the two.

Well it's not about speed, it's who sends it out first really. But i've seen the odd person carrying Rain Dance on Kyogre and Sunny Day on Groundon to counter each other, only rarely though

Whoever would do that would basically be just wasting a moveslot.
